Derek Carr vs. Johnny Manziel

Quote:Manziel just isn't a pocket passer. You need a pocket passer to succeed in this league.  He also lacks maturity.

Carr has some footwork issues that are a concern.  I personally worry that his floor is David Carr.
They would both be great with our 2nd round pick in my opinion.

As for Carr's footwork issues, it should only be a concern if it affects his throws but so far he's been one of the most accurate QBs in college.

Bortles seems better than either of them.

If we are #3, there is no reason to trade up for Teddy because another franchise quarterback will still be available. Trade up if we fall behind both the Texans and Vikings; otherwise, stay put.

Footwork issues can be fixed with the right quarterback coach.

Drafting Manziel would assure your team a nice spot in the 2016 Christian Hackenberg sweepstakes. So there's some value in that.

Who is Christian Hackenberg?

so am I the only one that is unimpressed with Carr? Did anyone watch him last night?

unimpressive outing vs Utah st. That footwork is bad. Decision making is probably questionable.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Overrated.
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

Just like in the SJSU game, Carrs production dropped significantly in the 2nd half, this time they managed to win though.

PSU QB, only a true freshman in time will be a prospect similar to Luck with a much stronger arm

In my opinion, the best NFL prospect in college football.
