Quarterbacks worth trading up for

#21

Quote:Which school is Derek Carr at? I know nothing about him.

Johnny Manziel is criticized for being too short to play quarterback. Wide receivers should be taller than quarterbacks. So why should Manziel be a WR?

Carr goes to Fresno state

Manziel would be a great slot guy, a lot better than at QB in the NFL

Nobody who is too short to play quarterback is tall enough to play slot receiver.

First: I am talking about picks since 2011

Second: I am talking about what these guys physically provide as qbs, forget nfl success

Third: Yes I am

I was right about Russell Wilson, right bout G3, right about Cam and is paced development may I go on?

3 out of the 4 teams in this division will be looking for a QB.. Texans, Jaguars, and Titans. Should make for an interesting offseason. Whichever of the 3 picks right, has a chance.

Steve Smith is 5'9

Wes Welker is 5'9

Ace Sanders is 5'7

Who says receivers should be taller than the qb???????

Is Demaryius Thomas taller than Peyton Manning

None. You don't trade up. You trade back. Washington would have the number two pick this year. Now they don't.

I am just trying to figure out why somebody would think Johnny Manziel should be a WR instead of a QB. No, I don't believe the WR must be taller than the QB.

It would not be ideal to trade up, but what if the only quarterbacks you like are surely going to be picked before you are on the clock?

This is an interesting concept, because I'm not so sure the titans will take a QB EARLY. Jake locker, while he can't stay healthy, has shown probably the most promise out of all the Qbs sept for Cam from that draft class. He's just never healthy, I can see them maybe taking a position of need more in the first and waiting till the second or third to take a Qb, perhaps maybe even later if their ends up being quite a bit of Qbs that come out this year.

I am not worried about Tennessee's quarterback plans because we definitely wilil pick before the Titans. (They already had four wins when we came to Nashville and beat them.)  Of course if we must pick a quarterback in the second round, I would be concerned about every team that might want a quarterback.

I don't care how tall you are.. If you have that "IT" factor, you have it and height means nothing..

Tebow had the Information Technology Factor too.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

All I am saying is there is no reason to suggest Johnny Manziel should be a WR instead of a QB in the NFL.

Take a screen shot.. It doesn't happen often, but I agree with you..

Yes there is.  Some of us don't see Manziel's abilities and style of play at QB translating well at the NFL level.  Some people think he has the skill set and athletic ability to make a slot receiver at the NFL level.

Back to the topic:If no quarterback projected to go early in the first round is expected to last to our pick number, would you be willing to trade up for one?

I am only talking about trading up for a quarterback. If you want to talk about making JM a WR, go to another thread.
