I remember a couple weeks ago having a similar conversation about another dumb thing trump stepped into and wouldn't let die... Oh yeah, the plagiarism thing.


All he had to do then was just concede it and move on. Instead he kept stepping in it and the story lasted four days!!! He's doing the same thing here. He has no idea how to be president. There are certain things you don't escalate.


He can't de-escalate even the easiest skirmishes. And you want this guy to handle our foreign policy and the hard issues here at home?!? No way...

No, I'm not saying that. I'm saying we have serious issues that have come to light with the Democratic party and it is as if it never happened. Trump was an idiot for even talking about the wife and should have side stepped the question like it was no big deal, but he didn't. That's on him. I'm just concerned with the influence we are seeing through the media and proof of it actually existing. Also how a certain segment does not care if things are done unetically or illegally as long as their party/candidate wins.

The media isn't trying to hide it anymore.  What's ironic here is that if you looked at the DNC emails that were leaked last week, the very constituencies they pander to on a daily basis were the target of their negative commentary in these emails.  Pick a special interest group, and the people running the DNC were taking shots at them in private.

I don't think the media ignored the allegations of improper actions on the DNC's part. However, Trump is a center of attention figure who has had a really bad stretch of saying inflammatory or inaccurate things. It's easy for things he says or does to overshadow the news feed. He thrives on it. It's how he got this far. I am not beating the drum Clinton is gonna be the bombdiggity president. I never have. But Trump is toxic and very dangerous. Especially when he has whipped up a Gestapo-like cult following that never challenges the validity of his statements (and Snopes and Politifact show he is full of dookie). Well, what are ya gonna do? There is still some good journalistic stories going on. I have a lot of respect for them because they really are going against the grain and probably don't have too much support. Also, people don't seem to interested reading anything longer than a few paragraphs and will look at the headline (which many are misleading) without reading it in context. Have a great article I may post on a whistleblower which shows how scary are powerful Government can be and how they truly have too much power. The checks and balances that were put in place don't seem to be working in this political landscape/world.

The email scandal story broke at the beginning of the convention.  The media did everything in their power to bury the story by gushing about unity at the convention.  Of course, in order to sell that narrative, they had to dismiss the Bernie fans, ignore the protests that took place on the floor of the convention and outside, and then report on a fawning crowd that was at least partially paid to be there.  They couldn't express their giddiness with enough enthusiasm while ignoring the false narratives surrounding the entitled nominee at her coronation. They were like a bunch of teenage school girls who were bedazzled by celebrities and good old Bubba and his filtered history of the Clinton love affair.

 

If we're going to go to Snopes and Politifact to say trump is full of it, make sure you avoid fact checking Clinton.  The woman lies any time her lips start flapping.  But, blind followers are terrifying because they don't care.
