Well, I think we can all agree that free agency is probably going to swing from excitement of who we can snag to dread at who we're going to lose in about 3-4 years time.  Caldwell has done well with the cap so far but we're probably going to have some BIG TIME contracts on our hands in the not to distant future.

 

Still, that just means we're starting to arrive.

And these "expensive" contracts were structured to where they can be released with hardly any penalty. We should be able to hang on to our young core (Bortles, Robinson, Smith).

The Jags have probably the best cap management team in the NFL. Idzik and Caldwell are doing a very good job giving guys contracts that means dead money should not be a factor.

I was listening to the Jags radio tight before the scrimmage and Tony Boseli said something I've never heard him say.

He said that Dante Fowler is first guy to play here since he retired that makes him question whether he could handle him or not.That's telling, coming from a former elite tackle.

This makes me smile. The quarterback must go down and he must go down hard! We saw when he went down last year that the young man has the perfect mental makeup for a player. The ability to have a positive mental outlook under those circumstances is truly rare. When he was hurt he showed his work ethic whic in my opinion is the greatest predictor to success in life. He has showed to have an elite work ethic. This year we are finally seeing him on the field. His athletic tools seem to be top notch. The future looks bright for this young man. Looks like he could develop into a real difference maker! Looking forward to watching him play and grow as a person and as a player in this community. Duuuvaaal.

Not sure if jack's best fit is mlb. Seems like hes thinking too much. We'll see

He is learning the scheme and his reads right now. The best thing for him right now is to immerse himself in his playbook. I really like what the coaching staff is doing by putting him at mlb so he can learn the entire defense. Once he gets the scheme down he will have the ability to play much faster. This kid has amazing agility and has the tools to be one of the best lb's in the league in a couple of years.

Ramswy is a potential lock down corner

Gipson is as good as he was 2 years ago

Myles Jack is the one question mark to me.  I am from LA and a USC fan.  I saw what Jack did to my Trojans.  I don't it is a coincidence that USC beat UCLA last year when Jack was hurt.  Because of some weird rules, Jack could barely play in OTA's.  If healthy, Jack can be as good as Luke Keuchel.  So with a healthy Myles Jack, this defense can be very very good.
