Derek Carr vs Utah State

Quote:Look, either one of them are going to be good. I just think that Teddy doesn't have the game-changing arm that Carr does. I'd be happy with either one. I think Carr's our guy, though.

I agree.

Well, yeah. If you grow up with a guy who rewrites every single record he touches and becomes the number one overall pick (regardless of his career), won't you be inspired?

I secretly hopes he has an epic failure of a second half and completely bombs the senior bowl so he may still be available when we pick.

Is that wrong?

For comparison, I think Teddy is a more mobile Matt Ryan, and Carr is a more mobile, accurate, Stafford who makes much better decisions.

Sorry, I'm not gonna fault a guy for loving/looking up to his brother. I did it and now we are both serving in the army.

I'm hoping he catches a really bad 24 hour stomach virus that day so he won't be able to play.

I try to avoid comparing players to the top three - ish at their position. So no Brees, Brady, Manning, or Rodgers. But if I had to say, Carr looks a lot more like Rodgers (to me at least) than Teddy.

I can see Stafford with regards to arm talent.

I think in terms of their overall play: Bridgewater is closer to Rodgers than Ryan and Carr's comp is Romo.

I think they each have aspects of Rodgers in them. Teddy has better pocket movement, but you can't deny that Carr has a stronger arm. I love them each, I'd be happy with either.
