Matt Prater kicks a 64 YARD FIELD GOAL!

Where do you get 65 from?

Why are you adding 7? It's 50+10+4 or 5 yards. Depending on the holders position.

Quote:It's no coincidence that there have been three successful +63 yard field goals and they've all happened in Denver.

That's a record that will be broken only by Broncos kickers.
:ermm:  Is the visiting team not allowed to kick field goals in Denver?

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Quote:Why can't I have NFL Sunday Ticket on cable TV? I can't tell you how mad I am that the NFL has an exclusive deal with DirecTV because that is way too expensive for people with financial problems. I want to know why cable TV customers are not allowed to get NFL Sunday Ticket. That is stupid. If I had NFL Sunday Ticket I could have seen that live, along with the rest of the Broncos game.

OK, enough ranting. I also thought Sebastian Janikowski would be the one who breaks the record, but knew Josh Scobee couldn't. Congratulations to Matt Prater for breaking the NFL record that was tied by a former Bronco, Jason Elam, in 1998, and more recently, Sebastian Janikowski, also in Denver. I am sure thye and former Saint Tom Dempsey are all proud of Matt's accomplishment.

You know there's websites where you can watch streams of every nfl game for free, right?

It does not matter. I have had problems with vdeo clips frequently pausing and now I can barely hear noise from my speakers with the volume all the way up. If I can't watch it on TV I won't watch at all.

LOL.  If the holder's position is 4 yards from the line of scrimmage he's going to get run over and the ball's  coming back in the kickers face every time.

I guess I remembered it being somewhere between 5-6 yards.  4 was wrong, if it's 7 my apologies.

I was a center/longsnapper for the majority of my football career my excuse was I was always bent over I didn't get a good judge at the distance.

Actually I'll just admit I was wrong and move on.

No problem, center is the most underappreciated position in sports.  As long as you never airmailed it over the kicker's head, all is forgiven.

Isn't the ball kicked 7 yards behind the LOS? That is what I heard or read somewhere.

No, the punter is. There are no punters in the HOF.
