Quote:Guy comes up clutch in clutch situations.. hope he keeps it up! IIRC last night was the first time I saw him come up clutch. Quote:IIRC last night was the first time I saw him come up clutch. He had an interception to seal the win in the first game vs Houston http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-cant-miss-...terception
Davis is another product of local college Bethune-Cookman. Seems like lightning has struck twice for us in finding gems from that school (the first being Rashean Mathis).

Quote:I forgot who did that. If it makes you feel any better, I forgot my reading glasses.
Quote:You know more than me. I was like, "Who is #59? Oh, Davis." Honestly, I had never heard of him. You didn't watch the previous Houston game? Or you just don't remember the last play that clinched it?
Quote:You didn't watch the previous Houston game? Or you just don't remember the last play that clinched it? Of course I watched the first Texans game. That does not mean I can remember who did what on every single play.

Quote:The game winning play? If a more familiar player like Poz or Cyprien did it, I probably would have remembered who intercepted that pass. Quote:He looks like a guy that can push Branch for more playing time. He looks like a guy that can be teamed w/Branch to create an productive DE Tandum... NH3...
"AZANE"
Quote:He looks like a guy that can be teamed w/Branch to create an productive DE Tandum... I wouldn't go that far. He's made some nice plays but come on, he's got to do a lot more to be considered more than an afterthought as a fixture at DE. We show less advertisements to registered users. This is in large part why Ryan Davis jumped out for me in this game, despite him not being someone I planned on focusing on going into the game. Davis get a great job of taking advantage of his opportunities. Players like this are easily to root for. Quote:Davis is another product of local college Bethune-Cookman. Seems like lightning has struck twice for us in finding gems from that school (the first being Rashean Mathis). Being that Rashean Mathis was still with the Jaguars in 2012 when Ryan Davis signed with the team as an UDRFA, I'm wondering if Mathis helped convince Davis to sign with the Jaguars. It certainly wouldn't be the first time when an existing player on a roster helped recruit a player. Seeing how much Mathis has tried to mentor some of the Lions young CB's this season, it wouldn't surprise me if he was proactive in helping Davis last season even though they play different positions. Quote:It's a blitz in the Babich/Bradley defense that sends Davis, Babin and Branch after the QB.Sounds like a Blitz Krieg

"Football is not played on paper, its played inside Televisions"---Random Poster BCC Quote:He looks like a guy that can be teamed w/Branch to create an productive DE Tandum... Id give it a couple more games but his work against Duane Brown this past game shouldnt be discounted. He is a UDFA starting to look like a solid rotational player. Quote:2nd week in a row he has done so Alualu has quietly had a pretty decent year. He isn't the pressure generating DT that we hoped for when he was drafted. He sets the edge for run defense in the scheme that Gus and Babich set up. His job isn't to get after the QB. His job is to set the edge so the LB's on his side can get into the running lanes and not have the lanes move for cutback runs.
Anthony Barr, Andre Branch, Ryan Davis and Tyson Alualu could be a pretty solid DE quartet for awhile...
