12-4 or better begging to look like a legit possibility

Quote:Even those games have their challenges. Del Rio's Raiders are going to give us all we can handle, the Ravens and Colts games are certainly no gimmes, and the even the games at the Bears and at the Titans will be tough on the road if our defense is playing much better than we've seen to date. An early game at the Titans with their running game as stout as it's been is no easy task. So you are worried about the Bills, who will probably fire their coach in January? They suck. Time will tell how much the Raiders improved. It is too early to mark that one as a win or loss. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:So you are worried about the Bills, who will probably fire their coach in January? They suck. Why do you think the Bills suck? I don't think so. I have them as a playoff contender challenging both for a WC and even the Patriots for the division. I totally see them as the 2nd best team in the AFC E as they are stacked on both sides of the ball. They're a very good team from all indications. I know we managed to barely eek out a win over them last year, but we only did so because they were forced to play EJ Manuel.

OP is pretty coy. If we finish 4-12, he can say that he meant 12 losses all along.

Welcome back Omaha. You are too good mate.
Not surprised it flew right over some heads, including supposedly sane ones Indeed, we know JDR is gonna come back hella bad [BLEEP]. The unopposed melodrama of 2016. Should be a good one. Hope we send him back to Cali, get to 10-0, and squash your elaborate predictions.

Do you know anything about their injury situation? How about Rex Ryan's job? What sources are you reading that indicate Buffalo will be a good team this year?
Quote:When NBC showed our schedule in the fourth quarter, what stood out to me was no hard games between Green Bay and Kansas City in terms of 2015 team records. Of course San Diego will be hard because we always lose there, but then we have the Ravens and Colts before our bye week followed by the Titans at home. With very, very few exceptions, clots blowout and beginning of Bills game in London last year, which turned out to be harder then it should have after the great start, EVERY GAME the Jaguars play is a hard game, and that goes for home and away and the rare home/away game in London.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:I said we have relatively easy games and explained that means they are less difficult. Obviously you did not read every post. The Jaguars do NOT have any relatively easy games on the schedule, NONE. While one opponent might not seem to be as tough of a game as another opponent, that does not mean that they become a relatively easy game. The Jaguars have proven, time and time again these last few seasons, that if there is a relatively easy game on the schedule, it is the Jaguars who are the relatively easy game and NOT the opponent.

Obviously people just want to argue with me. If a game is not relatively easy in the way I clearly explained it, all teams are good enough to win the Super Bowl.
Quote:Obviously people just want to argue with me. If a game is not relatively easy in the way I clearly explained it, all teams are good enough to win the Super Bowl.No but you must think we are a lot better than we actually are. Do you think any other team is looking at the Jags and saying "Man, I don't know how we are going to beat them." No. They think we are one of the easy games just like you are claiming we have "relatively easy" games. We don't have any easy games because we haven't won more than 5 games in 5 years.
Quote:I was shocked to see the negativity on the board this morning when I logged in. While I will admit that I was as appalled as anyone with regards to our first half and even went as far to start a post at halftime that was directed at Jags ownership encouraging them to fire Gus Bradley, I am now completely 100% back on board with this team and Coach Gus Bradley after a valiant and heroic second half effort last night. You cannot fault the Jags players and coaches for being a little nervous - the jitters clearly showed early and I attribute that to being on the NBC Sunday night big stage, which was unchartered territory for almost everyone on this Jags roster. Penalties, fumbles and dropped passes were not a sign of an undisciplined or bad team as many on this board have indicated, rather the sign of a nervous team. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Coach Bradley gave what obviously was an epic and impassioned speech at halftime, this of course after huddling with his impressive coaching staff and making key adjustments that turned out to be the difference in the game. Our amazing defensive depth was sensational to witness - 22 Jaguar players with tackles! The astute football fan will notice that the Bengals did not score in the last 28 minutes and 56 seconds which is an indisputable sign that our defensive depth clearly wore out the Bengals offense. Now that we have got the jitters out of the way, we can focus on just playing a little football and getting to 12 to 13 wins.I'm glad the second half made you feel optimistic, but those weren't the starters playing the second half. I've been telling fans on this message board not to become overly negative about the team based on what they've observed during the pre-season. I should also point out that developing over confidence in the team based on observations during the pre-season is equally unjustified. The only thing we can reliably say about our team right now is that they have acquired players who (on paper) look to be upgrades from what we've had on defense. Will they 'pan out'? We don't know yet and won't know until after a few regular season games. Pre-season games are just glorified practice games for the starters and live try-outs for the players who are in question for the roster. They really aren't the most reliable means of accessing the viability of our current roster. Only regular season games will do that, for better or worse. The fact of the matter is that the best Dave can do as a GM is to make an educated guess about players based on past performance.... performance that may or may not have been at a professional level of competition. Let's hope that the team can live up to highest expectations this season (but lets not expect more than at least a .500 season this year either). Quote:I don't stop reading NFL.com articles in the offseason. Do you know anything about their injury situation? How about Rex Ryan's job? What sources are you reading that indicate Buffalo will be a good team this year? Their injuries can be overcome, and Rex is a heck of a coach despite the ramblings. I may not always be correct, but I I tend to have a feel for these things and I have the Bills as a borderline playoff team. I had a similar conversation a couple weeks ago about the Chiefs who I claimed have a very good team, but someone else was saying they had too many injuries. I know it's just the preseason, but it was scary how utterly the Chiefs first team dismantled the Bears a few days ago.

Maybe 6 wins. 7 tops. If they don't win 8 or more barring injuries, season is a failure and Bradley needs to go. He is a better DC than a head coach.
