Teddy Bridgewater potentially done for the season?
|
Update from Connor Orr:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...nee-injury Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a "significant" knee injury at practice Tuesday and the team is waiting for more information about the exact nature of the injury, coach Mike Zimmer told reporters. From the latest report on NFL.com it's not good. He had to be sedated in order to do an MRI. My guess is that he's likely out for the season.

From the article: "Zimmer said the 23-year-old had to be sedated before undergoing an MRI at the hospital." I wonder why. He was immobilized on the field.
Did... did his leg fall off? Did it finally really happen to someone?
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Can an injury scene get uglier than this?
Quote:Now, the details are starting to filter out — and they're ugly. Vikings players vomited at the sight of the injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Quote:This is scary. How could this happen when there was no contact? I was wondering the same thing. The one good thing about this is very few people saw it. I am sure any TV network would have censored the play. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I think it was a massive compound fracture or possibly a few of them which also resulted in skin breakage and possible ligament tears.
Happens every now and again in soccer. Probably the most vicious injury you can get in sports apart from a broken spine/neck. Quote:Can an injury scene get uglier than this? Hopefully, the injury doesn't rank near the gruesome injuries that Joe Theismann and Napoleon McCallum suffered. If I recall correctly, former Jaguars C Michael Cheever suffered a horrible back related injury that unfortunately derailed his promising NFL playing career.

Quote:I think it was a massive compound fracture or possibly a few of them which also resulted in skin breakage and possible ligament tears. But what kind of blow or hit could cause so much damage...when there was no contact?

Quote:I don't think Redskins players threw up when they saw Theismann's bloody sock. I did. His leg snapped in half like a pretzel stick. Quote:I don't think Redskins players threw up when they saw Theismann's bloody sock. I can't speak for anyone else but I was shaken up after seeing what transpired with Joe Theismann.. And that was on TV, not even live.
Quote:I did. His leg snapped in half like a pretzel stick. Wow, I did not know that was possible. I read Theismann had to retire because the injury caused nerve damage. |
