Teddy Bridgewater potentially done for the season?

Quote:I did. His leg snapped in half like a pretzel stick.

Other than neck related injuries,  the Joe Theismann injury certainly ranks in the top 5 worst injuries I've ever seen in a football game or any spot.

Quote:I can't speak for anyone else but I was shaken up after seeing what transpired with Joe Theismann.. And that was on TV, not even live.

It is even worse on TV because viewers get close-up, slow-motion replays and see every detail. And that was on a Monday night.

I think some are blowing this way out of proportion.  If I had to guess, I would bet that a ligament probably snapped and his leg might have possibly been at a very odd angle.  I very much doubt the "vomiting" story.

Alas...  social media and rumors.

I've tried telling y'all. Knee concussions are no joke. Hopefully people will start taking these things seriously.

Sometimes it just happens by a pure fluke.

I guess each person reacts differently.   For me,  I have felt more queasy with injuries when at games than when watching games on TV.   The Reggie Brown neck injury in 1997 that almost claimed his life was the scariest thing I've ever seen at a football game.

There is no such thing as a knee concussion. You know that.

That happens all the time with torn ACLs (Dante Fowler) and Achilles tendons (Ben Watson), but a fluky compound fracture is new to me.

But, do YOU know that?
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Of course I know that. A concussion can only happen in the brain.

Agreed.   The ground ( surface ) could also be a factor in causing a serious injury.    The double knee injuries to Bears WR Wendall Davis on the horrific Veterans Stadium turf in Philadelphia that ended his career probably would have been avoided on a better playing surface.

That was very disturbing watching it on TV.

That could mean it crushed. This is not a clean break.

Tweet from Mike Renner (@PFF_Mike) - The scouts that talked about Teddy Bridgewater's skinny knees are all patting themselves on the back today

Sad but true.

Sad but true.

Scouts were concerned about his overall size.

Gatorade is the best thing for athletes. Milk is great for bones, but does not replenish electrolytes.

It was in the same game that Barry Sanders went over 2000 yards.   It was the loudest crowd I've ever been in before the Reggie Brown injury and it got very loud again in the final few minutes.  But you could hear a pin drop when Brown's life was in serious danger.
