Teddy Bridgewater potentially done for the season?

Quote:Ummm, the RIGHT foot is the plant foot for a right-handed QB. As you drop back, you eventually stop and PLANT your RIGHT FOOT, thus making that the plant foot. Well yeah, but then you put all your weight on your left leg when you throw the ball. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I would think Mike Glennon, not Mark Sanchez, would be the QB they should pursue.
He would probably fit well there.

Could have been worse but that's still really rough. Hope he gets back for 2017.
Would be interesting to hear how exactly it happened. Hard to believe it was a simple dropback. Obviously the risk with him was his frail body type but you dont usually hear of gruesome leg injuries on a simple drop back while not getting touched.

Quote:"Other structural damage" doesn't sound great. Possible cartilage damage? Also was that his plant leg? Dislocated knee as well, from what I read on NFL networks facebook.

I assume you would not want to watch a replay if there was one. This type of injury is ugly. Quote:Would be interesting to hear how exactly it happened. Hard to believe it was a simple dropback. It's crazy that some of the most gruesome injuries in sports are non-contact. The compound fracture that Louisville basketball player (Ware?) had a couple of years ago, Bridgewater, the male gymnast in the olympics a couple of weeks ago...
I remember Boselli tearing an ACL years ago running down the field. I think it was against the Bengals. And don't forget about Martin Gramatica tearing his ACL jumping up in the air like an idiot celebrating a 33 yard field goal.

Sucks for bridgewater. Just hope its a one season deal and not a career ender. If this causes him to lose some power on his throws his days in the nfl may be over. Good kid with a good head on his shoulders who has shown some potential.
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17 2016 draft players I think will be good
Quote:I would think Mike Glennon, not Mark Sanchez, would be the QB they should pursue. Agreed. The question becomes what's the Bucs asking price for Mike Glennon? My hunch is at least a 2nd Round pick and something else. Quote:It's crazy that some of the most gruesome injuries in sports are non-contact. In 2014, Stephen Tulloch and Lamaar Houston had similar ACL celebrations injuries to the former Bucs kicker after sacks. In Tulloch's case, he became a one dimensional/ two down type of player in 2015 when coming back from his injury, before being a salary cap casualty this past off-season. One thing Teddy Bridgewater has going for himself in a comeback quest is his youth. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Tony Boselli's injury was not gruesome. We were in Cincy on the last day of the regular season. What happened to a male gymnast? I saw a British girl suffer a concussion by landing on her head at the vault. You are mixing up the Gramatica brothers. Bill did that while playing for the Cardinals. Quote: I got the Gramatica brothers mixed up. Both celebrated successful kicks like their team just won the Super Bowl. Bill wasn't as fortunate as his brother. '

I remember Freddy T tearing his hamstring with no contact, and he just dropped the ball.

Quote:I remember Freddy T tearing his hamstring with no contact, and he just dropped the ball. He was running on the sideline with nothing but grass between himself and the end zone. The hamstring tweaked and he had to run out of bounds on that play. There was no fumble. We lost the game. BTW that was at Washington.
Quote:I've dislocated a patella before. Hurts like hell, but once popped back in very few lasting effects That's not the same injury. A dislocated knee involves at least two ligament tears and possible articular cartilage damage. Think McGahee/Lattimore. |
