She is a blue-tick hound.  They really don't give a [BLEEP] unless they are on a trail tracking something.  Rain?  Wind?  She doesn't really care.  They are among the most loyal, smart and loving breeds of dogs.  The other one on the other hand is a miniature pinscher.  Don't even think about touching one of her toys without her consent.

I had a basset.  She loved eating cats.  My current dog is actually part blue-tick and part coon-hound.  She has a face though that reminds me of my basset.

Did your foxhole get flooded?

Nope. We're inland. Power is out for "days" and our lawn is full of crap, but no damage to us, the dogs or the house. The house for sale next door has a couple of trees resting gently atop it, though.

We're getting steady rain up here in central NC. It's supposed to pick up later along with gusts of 25-35mph winds. Nothing to see here but yesterday people were stacking up on the beer and chips. I guess the milk and bread crowd were still glued to the weather channel. I went to Starbucks to get a treat I completely forgot about until just now......

I had to laugh getting dressed this morning the news lady said theres blown over trash cans and lots of puddles then they panned to a shot of the blown over empty trash can!

Not today. We found out we have a roof leak right after I posted my husband and I spent over an hour on the roof getting tarps tied down. When you're on a slippery roof with gusting winds and heavy rain it puts you in a sour mood.
