Quote:Does anyone know why we cut Tripp? Pullard looked good on special teams, and with tripp, I didn't notice him. I'd guess that's why.

Quote:Not arguing, but what has he done to show OLB is a better position for him? He mentioned the Bears, which are a 3-4 base team. Ryan Davis wouldn't seem to be a good fit as a 3-4 DE. Quote:Does anyone know why we cut Tripp? Not as good as the others who made the roster.

Quote: He mentioned the Bears, which are a 3-4 base team. Ryan Davis wouldn't seem to be a good fit as a 3-4 DE. Loved Davis, but when you think about it, he was one dimensional. He was lightning package and somewhat productive, or nothing. There is a lot of talent and versatility across the DL that can do what he's done the last few years.

He was responding to my guess that he may be picked up by the Bears. He is one of those Hybrid type players that are just a bit small for 4-3 lineman but too big for 4-3 backer. I think he will do well on a 3-4 team. Quote:He was responding to my guess that he may be picked up by the Bears. Otherwise, he can't drop and cover like 3-4 OLBs are asked to do at times. I agree that's probably a good fit, but in a limited role.

Quote:Did the Welp troll get us? Know. His schtick is just tired and predictable.
Quote:Probably Myles Jack-of-all-trades Everyone told me I was wrong about that. Maybe I am not. Quote:Loved Davis, but when you think about it, he was one dimensional. I certainly respect the Jaguars decision, in large part because of what you mentioned. Yet, when looking at the skill set Ryan Davis brings to the table, I think he can provide an upgrade for some teams. |
