Asked Caldwell about if he would be interesed in Sitton, he deferred comment.

Hmmmm.

#Jaguars will reportedly cut TE Braedon Bowman, per @mike_e_kaye. Roster at 67.

Ugh.... I guess he is safe to make the PS and develop, but I was hoping he'd actually beat out Koyack or Sterling for the final 53. I still say Bowman will one day be a starter in this league.

Compare that to "even if hes released"

He needs some time still. PS will be good for him but I like his potential.

Quote:Did we cut Evans twice?

Yes...

We cut Shaq Evans intially...

then resigned Shaq Evans, and cut Josh Evans.

Turns out Caldwell thought it was supposed to be Shaq, but then Gus explained, "no I meant Josh."

Just kidding about that last part. ...and actually Shaq was cut a 2nd time by the time all the cuts were in.

Thomas

Lewis

Koyack

Sterling

Is there a fifth ?

EDIT: Nope that's it.

If they signed Sitton, they could move Joeckel to swing tackle and release Wells.

I'd rather keep Wells and cut Banyard. Why do they need five running backs? Just because you sign an offensive lineman doesn't mean you have to cut a guy from the same position group.

No, they cut Jacobs. Four TEs should be enough.

Indeed.

The rules have changed lately so it's possible I'm wrong about this, but I don't believe Nick is eligible because he's already accrued a season that he played 13 games in.

I don't think Marshall can go to the PS.

Do they look at Sterling as more of a Blocker or pass catching TE?

He's a willing blocker. And he is a red zone threat.

He's a "move" TE. But willing to block.

This. Dave does not "defer comment" on players he does not want. He's pretty clear about those
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
