Good thing we have a decent kicker this year. Looks like he's going to see a lot of work this season.

Is the kid Downey that good or is the line that bad?

ya kicker looks good.  though it kinda makes me nervous that every FG is like a game winner when he celebrates

I don't care how he acts after he makes a kick as long as he's making them.

Quote:Man, the defense looks to be shaky so far. Losing Hargreaves, Bullard, Morrison, Poole, and McCalister hurt us quite a bit I guess...

Edit: Keanu Neal too

Jalen Tabor being suspended tonight also hurt.

Quote:Make sense why Del Rio is on his 3rd team and his first collegiate start.

Luke could have stayed at Alabama all four years if he wanted to. Transferring to another FBS school twice does not make sense.

Finally. Since Caleb Sturgis got hurt (back injury?) 20-yard PATs were too hard for our guys. It was like, "Who wants to kick for us?" after he graduated. I already love this Piniero kid.

Of course he could have stayed if he wanted to, but he knew he wasn't going to get a shot at being the starter, and he left Oregon State because the coach he went there for left. It makes perfect sense why he transferred.

So he did not like the new Oregon State coach?

That I don't know, but I'm sure a shot at starting for Florida looked a lot better than the coach that hadn't recruited him.

He was right, obviously. I hope we see improvement next week.

What did you guys think of Luke during his first-ever college start?

his numbers are decent actually.  but you have to consider the opponent.  this was a warm up game

The other option is a quarterback who was benched by one of the worst teams in all of FBS.

Gonna be another long year for the turds.

That is what I am worried about: tougher opponents could rattle him.

It could have been 27 or 31 points.

Because of a defensive penalty and running play, not LDR.

It's also not like 27 or 31 would have been any more impressive.
