Get Josh Sitton- G NOW!

Wonder if Gus is begging Dave to sign him in order to save him getting a pink slip.

I hope Caldwell is working on Sunday!
Seriously though, this is a guy who would have been in high demand had he been a UFA this past off season. We need to get him. Why Caldwell didn't jump at the chance to trade a mid to late round pick for him is baffling. Steelers just gave Browns a 2018 6th round pick for a former 1st round CB (Justin Gilbert). Caldwell couldn't do something similar for Sitton before he hit the open market?? If we do pick him up, it will be interesting to see who gets cut. They could probably cut OT Pat Omameh, since Joeckel would become the extra reserve OT. P.S. Don't be surprised if the Titans or Colts snatch him up ahead of us, which would suck. New Orleans is my other guess.
Schefter reporting his first visit is to the Bears, and that the Saints may follow. I honestly didn't think we'd even take a look.

Just remember, no matter how promising a talent we bring in here, there are zero guarantees that Gus will utilize him correctly anyway. Sleep easy knowing that.
Welp. Looks like we are sticking with Joeckel.
I hope Blake has life insurance.
Make the Jags Great Again
Blake Bortles......YOU'RE FIRED! Dave Caldwell.....YOU'RE FIRED!
Apparently we are supposed to get every player that could be a good fit. I guess there's not 30 other teams that could use a pro bowl level guard

Its not like gus is gonna move sitton to OTTO Quote:Just remember, no matter how promising a talent we bring in here, there are zero guarantees that Gus will utilize him correctly anyway. The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.

No reason to get my hopes up. Sitton's agent would just use the Jags to drive up his market and asking price anyways.

Sitton would be great, but I doubt we even kick the tires on him. My main concern right now is Kicker. We have to replace Myers, because he will cost us multiple games this year and we should finally compete for the division title, so every victory is gonna count. I desperately want Parkey or Barth.
Looking forward to seeing the meltdown of whiners and complainers when he signs a massive deal with the Bears.
Shock the world
I don't understand some of the moves by this front office. Thinking it's more preferable to stick with Joeckel at LG over a proven vet is one of them.

My only guess is Caldwell is sticking by his long term personnel philosophy and feels he has given Gus enough to finally hold him accountable for the results.
