Final cuts have started

(This post was last modified: 09-04-2016, 11:30 AM by D6.)

Quote:Ugh... this says two accrued seasons. D6's link said three, but to be safe I'll cross out the three year guys from my list above.

And yes this means the RFAs like Nic Jacobs and Ryan Davis do not qualify. ...unless this link is the wrong one and D6's link is correct.

Back on Friday,   when Ryan Davis' P.S. squad eligibility was being discussed,  I mentioned on page 3 of this thread that the P.S, rules were more complicated now than they were 2 years ago.

After seeing this current page ( 29 ) of the thread,   I had no idea there's this much uncertainty.    One way or the other,   hopefully the P.S. rules will be clarified in the next 24 hours.   One thing for sure, Ryan Davis is a good enough player to be on an NFL P.S., if eligible, and not on a 53 man roster.

Note:  It's fitting that my reply is the beginning page 30 of this thread,  not on what I thought was the current page.  :teehee:

Quote:Yeah and Henne was a much better prospect than Brady coming out. See how that logic works?

And Brady began his rookie season as the 4th string QB.

See how things work for a 6th rd QB?

Even the great Brady wasn't just handed over the job.

When can teams start signing players to the practice squad?

Waiver claims were until noon. All released players who weren't claimed are now FAs.

I believe the PS can start being formed now (after noon)

But yay us claiming Arthur Brown.

Pretty ticked about this Holmes situation. At least he's going to CLE. Hope he does well there.

I don't know that he will ever be good but I feel like he showed promising things and for a pass rusher we just drafted, which is a position that isn't exactly a big strength right now, I just don't get it.

Getting Arthur Brown is nice. Not sure I know a ton about Huff from TEN but we got him as well. Glad we did SOMETHING at least.

But but but ... Denard Robinson is so much more valuable to our team.

Wonder who we cut to make room. Maybe Wells to IR?

Also Bowman was claimed by the Jets.

The 2 guys I was hoping we could keep were Bowman and Holmes...best luck to them, although I wish we would have kept them (or at least one) instead of DRob and possibly C. Smith or someone else.

really liked Arthur Brown as a prospect, but he hasn't done much in the NFL. Hopefully a change of scenery will do him some good.

Lol at our guys with potential getting claimed, but yet scrubs like Henne and Banyard keep their spots.

Baynard was just cut, and was VERY solid in the preseason for us.

Henne isn't getting cut. We aren't going to roll with a backup rookie when Bortles is only in year 3.

We're screwed if Bortles goes down regardless, the season would be over, the backup QB wouldn't even matter. Henne certainly isn't leading this team to victory.

Most teams are screwed when starter goes down.  Not a fan of henne. But Allen shows some promise.

Letting Bowman go for Koyack was just plain stupid imho.
