Would this even be a conversation if Myers had made 3 more extra points last season?

 

If he starts the season missing XP's, he'll no doubt be replaced.  In the meantime, I'll focus on the game winner against Baltimore and the huge kick against Miami.  His stats last season are eerily similar to Vinatieri's first season.

 

Old wise man once said "there are 4 good kickers, 4 bad kickers, and the rest are the same."  A lot of truth to that statement.

Fair assessment, however with the extra points factored in one could make the argument Myers would fall in the "bad four".

That didn't even factor into my thinking. When he learns to kick without hooking the ball, I'll lay off him. Until then, I want a new kicker.

If he goes 26-30 again, I could care less if he hooks it, slices it, knuckles it, line drives it, etc.
