As long as the East division sucks, you are right.

Quote:I disagree. UF is at the beginning of a throw-away season. The players know it, the coaches know it, and the media knows it.

Now that I've said it 2x, please look for the signs all season long from the Gators. It will become obvious to you in time.

Besides practice and hoping for NFL scouts' attention - what are the Florida Gators players doing out there? Hoping to play FAMU in a meaningless bowl game in December?

Can you really forecast a teams season after one game?

The way Chubb looked the other day, I'd pick Georgia. But for whatever reason, Georgia has struggled beating even mediocre Florida teams. So it would not surprise me.

Fortunately we don't have to worry about them until late October. On to Kentucky.

If you watch the team and the other games, factoring in last year's "accomplishments"; then absolutely. It's not like I took a quick glance at UF playing UMASS and said "Yup, UF will win 8 meaningless games this season" or something... How do you think they establish betting lines?

It is all about this year's Gators, not last year's Gators. We have a new QB, lost some players to graduation and the NFL, etc. Betting lines are based on the current team's success and failures. They have nothing to do with last season.

Way too early to call this season a throw away for the gates. Too much can change during the course of a season. The betting lines are established to maximize two way action. You think the point spread represents the predicted outcome?

Yup and college dont have preseason, so the first game is always gonna be sloppy, it was a lot of upsets this week, and close games, Tenn had a closer game and is ranked higher, also Mich st closer game vs a small school. UF didnt blow them out, but 24-7 is still pretty big win.

The UK game will be more telling

Quote:How was this game any different from the FSU game.... Both UF and FSU played teams they should beat 9 out of 10 times, both played bad in the 1st half, then played much better in the 2nd half... one team already crowing themselves champions, and one team realizing they have a lot of work to do.... Who's more grounded... UF fan that realizes they didn't play a complete game, or FSU fan that doesn't realize they didn't play a complete game?

Lol whuhhhh???
