Are you really asking why a game day thread was closed that was made two days before the actual day of the game? Don't play dumb. You aren't new around here...those have never been allowed.

First and foremost no ones upset! I was just asking a simple question, and using that thread as an example.. Their are many other examples i could use... I just wanted to know what warrants a thread getting locked...

But the examples you used have nothing to do with why a game day thread would be locked early. Threads don't get locked for length on here other than the game day threads, and that's only so people that can't watch the game live don't have to try to sift through pages and pages to find out what's happening.


Other threads get locked if they go so far off topic that it's no longer about the op, or if they are about things that aren't allowed on the board at all.

Yep, just the game threads at halftime (usually) and sometimes afterwards if people are talking about things that could go in other threads.
