At this point in both fear the walking dead and the walking dead I am rooting for the zombies.  All the characters are flat and boring and the overuse of the same themes is getting old quickly.  Basically ruined a great genre by bringing it to a wider audience without spending on important things like quality writing and character development.


These people need to start watching Fargo, breaking bad, better call saul, deadwood and learn what quality television can be.

I am a huge Better Call Saul fan, as well as Preacher which is on AMC too, amog other AMC shows. I really like this season of FTWD so far too though. I think they have gotten more in depth with a couple of the characters and like how the story line is coming along. I hope rumors started last season that the two groups end up meeting at some point. That'd be interesting.

Not sure how you can make a show about the zombie apocalypse boring. I feel like I'm making out with some random chick until my girlfriend (TWD) gets back from her summer vacation. There's no emotional investment in the show or these characters. Yet.. I still watch.

I didn't much care for this one from the start, but love the original too much to look away.

 

It will be interesting to see the resort turned into The Warriors as they split into factions.

 

I thought it was way too convenient how they all got back together again so quickly and easily at the resort.

Just let the wooden acting and droning plotlines be your guide. So much potential wasted on this show. Can't see them getting extended beyond season 3. When TWD introduced new characters, they were developed. There was a defining feature about them or line they said that stuck with you. When FTWD does it it's some boring, non- descript drivel. The main characters are pretty static and not very interesting. How easy would it be for a new character to steal the spotlight? But they're just as uninteresting. When TWD introduces scavenging bikers or the Governor or Negan, the scenes and the characters are defined. FTWD has a bunch of ex drug dealers squatting in a warehouse. There is no fear they are gonna come after what our protagonists have. They are trade partners who don't seem to be doing much scavenging on their own. Yawn. The dialogue of the show is probably what is the most annoying. So much wasted screen time for the plot to not really advance. Dude got stabbed and my reaction was. Oh. Okay. TWD can't come back soon enough.
