Except, Leonard Williams played 16 games last year compared to Fowlers 0.  This doesn't even include the preseason that Fowler also missed out on last year. Comparing both players first games in the NFL.


Leonard Williams:  1 Tackle, 4 Assists

Dante:  2 Tackles, 1 Assist

 

Leonard didn't record his first sack until week 13 of last year.  This is ignoring a .5 sack in week 3.

Much like the Albino Tiger, the Logical Jaguar Fan is rarely seen outside of captivity. A natural skittishness is part of it's complex system of camouflage and defense. Their numbers have been sadly depleted by the blight of cynicism brought on by a great drought of wins. This drought has significantly decimated their numbers. Only the strongest have survived.


Occasionally the tundra lands north of the Dakotas provide the magnificent creature sufficient internet access so that it may proffer a sage perspective on the topic of rookie defensive linemen.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

We have two rookies playing LEO. DE usually struggle in their rookie year. I wouldn't mind signing Greg Hardy to a deal for this season so we can bring Fowler along as well as Yannick. Secondary played pretty well so with a better pass rush this defense can be a top 10 defense at the end of the season.

Yeah, Hardy can move DFJ from observer to participant.

I hope it's possible.  The current plan of "charge head long into the offensive lineman, then stop" isn't working out so well.  We've given it years, I think it's safe for them to go ahead and move on to the next plan.

I will bump this thread but I will say that Fowler managed to get a sack this week thankfully. I still wish he could have garnered more pressure...

 

Like I mentioned in another thread, Malik getting benched was odd to me, but I do want some semblance of what we were expecting out of a $90 million dollar man.

Apparently the plan this week was "overpersue on the outside while they run up the middle for 12 yards."  Not the adjustment I was hoping for:/
