Actually, USS Starke was fired upon with two exocet missiles from a Mirage jet fighter. The U.S.S Cole was attacked by a suicide vessel.

Thank you for the correction.  For some reason when it came to small boats around a Navy warship attacking, USS Starke came to mind.  You are absolutely correct.  It was USS Cole that was attacked by a small (terrorist) boat.
