Week 3 Games Of Interest
|
Quote:Based on the fact that Louisville was already a favorite in this game (according to the betting odds), doesn't the FSU injury make the game less interesting? Louisville is not a favorite. Most sites are showing FSU -4.5 points. edit- Just looked, spread has moved and FSU is at -2 points. http://www.oddsshark.com/ncaaf/florida-s...016-729714 We show less advertisements to registered users. I can't believe the line would be that close for Louisville vs. FSU. Are the Cardinals really that good this year?
Quote:Michigan is smart. They schedule cream puffs with big time names (e.g. Hawaii, UCF, Colorado).Michigan State does this too from time to time.

Quote:Michigan State does this too from time to time. MSU has had Notre Dame or Oregon on their September Schedule for years now. The strategy is not a knock on Michigan but rather quite intelligent to remove a top 10 non-conference opponent but when you look at their schedule and see Colorado & Hawaii it still looks like a decent schedule. With that in mind, when people see Michigan Vs Colorado or Hawaii, it looks like a lot better game than seeing Michigan vs W. Michigan or Bowling Green which would actually be a more competitive game. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! I wasn't knocking MSU either, but they do schedule non conference opponents with "name" like this too. Air Force last season for example.

You guys are ignoring the fact that every Power 5 Conference team does this. September opponents are usually cupcakes. Matchups like the upcoming Ohio State/Oklahoma game are relatively rare. This part of the schedule has improved, but not much, in recent years because of the switch to a real college football playoff.

I'm a gators fan and I hate to admit it but the fsu lousville game will be a bloodbath, lamar jackson or not.
It's not fair dammit!!
Chicken nuggets is like my family.
The fact that fsu is kinda better than us right now lol. I should have been more specific

Quote:MSU has had Notre Dame or Oregon on their September Schedule for years now. Michigan would have loved to keep Notre Dame on the schedule every year. Notre Dame canceled that series. 2012: Alabama and Notre Dame 2013: Notre Dame 2014: Notre Dame 2015: Utah (finished the season 10-3) and BYU (finished the season 9-4) 2016: point taken 2017: Florida 2018: Notre Dame 2019: Notre Dame 2020: Washington and Virginia Tech 2021: Washington and Virginia Tech 2022: UCLA 2023: UCLA 2024: Texas 2025: Oklahoma 2026: Oklahoma 2027: Texas Also, there is no way in hell that Bowling Green is a tougher matchup than Colorado this year.
Also, Michigan has to play
@Iowa @Michigan St. @Ohio St. That's a brutal road schedule in conference play. If there was going to be any year where scheduling OOC cupcakes made sense, this was it.
