What does it mean to learn how to win
|
I see this everywhere. People and analysts say the Jags have a good roster but they are young and don't know how to win. What does this really mean?

I would describe it as us last year. Falling apart late in games even though we played great all game.
Take the GB game, we played a complete game, we felt like we were going to win. Last year, even if winning in the 4th, it always felt like we would find a way to lose. And generally we did
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Playing a complete game. Playing the best roster in football without your star TE and HOF QB, instead a backup QB Ala Patriots.
Players know how to win. For whatever reason it does not happen enough, but Jaguars fans make up the "learn how to win" stuff.

Well, since we only hear Jaguars fans talking about such things you must be right. Except that they aren't and you're not. You know perfectly well I am a better Jaguars fan than many people on this forum if you have a brain. It's just mumbo jumbo.

It's a mindset. It's about exposing and gaining advantages from your opponents weaknesses. Its also about learning how to limit mistakes and forcing your opponent into them. Every game ends with one team making less/more mistakes than the other.
It's obvious when you think about it. Lee bobbling the football caused an interception, lost home momentum, and that resulted in 7 easy points. Easy example. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
You definitely need a team that has the talent and potential to be consistent winners. We never had that till now, so that's why we use to get blown out with zero chances of winning.
It means the talking heads are trying to fill air time.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.
Don't beat yourself first off, and make plays in big time situations regardless of your matchup. Beat the person across from you when it matters.
Translation: Don't commit costly penalties, win turnovers, 3rd down (or 4th), and red zone. Win swing plays. You do those things, you'll win most of your football games.

Broken record, but it all goes back to the head coach when youbjave the type of talent we have.
Quote:But definitely this too haha. That's the problem with sports (or any other news) now. It's on multiple channels 24/7 and there simply isn't enough substance to fill that much time every day.

If the Jags need to learn to win, we should be playing more John Madden commentary.
“Usually the team that scores the most points wins the game.” on loop.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Quote:You can't be a better fan if you root for the Packers and Broncos. Yes I can. People who choose to hate on Gus Bradley are not good Jaguars fans.
Quote:Broken record, but it all goes back to the head coach when youbjave the type of talent we have. Nope. The head coach instilled a winning culture in this team.
