And if we lose tomorrow...
|
Not just lose, but get embarrassed...by an ailing team missing it's best receiver, and without their number 1 draft pick. If we get shredded again by Rivers, and it is a lop-sided win for the Chargers, what then?
I think we should have run out of excuses by now. Would Kahn give Gus the whole season to continue to work it out? Or would there be some sort of coaching change? Kahn doesn't seem like someone to make abrupt decisions, but he could be tired of losing too. Or, he could be happy that sales are up and wait it out. There is likely to be a complete meltdown in Jaguars land, including myself, should we not come away with a victory tomorrow, or at least have a "legitimate" reason for not winning (such as a zombie apocalypse starting during the game). Just wanted to know what everyone thinks is likely to happen Monday, if we get demolished in San Diego. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Tomorrow is perhaps the biggest game in Bradley's career here. If he doesn't come out on top against a lesser team, I think he's done after the year.
"It was Blake Bortles the whole time. They believe in this kid. He reminds me a bit of a young Ben Roethlisberger." ~Mike Mayock

Quote:if they lose the apologist will just blame it on the travel This has been the explanation in the past, but shouldn't it be an advantage? The real disadvantage comes is traveling east, where you lose time/hours of sleep. How does getting extra time mess up your game play that much? Better teams don't blame everything on getting some extra time
If the Jags get embarrassed, they should just leave dopey Gus in San Diego. Marrone is a much better coach and could right the ship quickly. If that doesn't work out we should hire Tom Coughlin at the end of the year.

Never understood the travel excuse. It's not like these guys are traveling coach eating peanuts. It's all about preparation.
OK. but if the Jags blow them out Gus gets another extension.

West coast travel or not, I expect a win. That is based on the improvement I've seen up to the GB game last week. If they lose I think that will be the game in which I join Jerrad in the fire Gus bandwagon. I have high hopes for the team this year. But as a long time Jags fan I have my reservations. They need to prove it and I don't trust them yet. I feel they need to go out there and kick butt to prove that they are the team we've hyped them up to be. It's time for us to make a team go 0-2 vs us be that team. After a long stretch of losing I think most fans are in the same boat. Are we who we think we are?

Would be great to see the win pulled off. I don't judge any Jaguars fan for being skeptical, pessimistic, reserved, indignant. I've been around long enough to hear every excuse possible. And many fans are in the "show me" phase. No more hype, prove it. I just have a bad feeling that another spanking by a team like the Chargers will incite a riot.
If I'm Shad Khan, and I watch my football team get destroyed against the Chargers - I'm firing Gus. That's all I need to see to make my decision, I'd just plug in Marrone and see what happens from there. If he sucks? Gus did too, oh well. We'll look for another coach after the season is over.

I'm not sure he'd fire Gus right away, but I somewhat agree. I feel the Jags are much better than the Chargers. I also feel the Jags should win. But then again, any given Sunday...
