Fire Gus Bradley (MERGED)

Quote:The ONLY big name I could see coming to the Jags is Jon Gruden and that's ONLY because he LOVES living in Florida and loves young QBs. Gruden loves living off his legacy. I don't see him returning to coaching for a long long time. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
If they stuck Gruden in a booth with Berman all year, he would leave in a heartbeat.
Yeah he won't leave there.
I really wanted Hue Jackson but some idiots kept supporting Gus, now they have the team they deserve. I was thinking Mike Shula or Josh McDaniels. I am a fan, not a cheerleader. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I know its shorter that this, but it feels like Gruden and Cowher have been away from coaching for more than 10 years
I don't think the desire is there anymore
Quote:I know its shorter that this, but it feels like Gruden and Cowher have been away from coaching for more than 10 yearsI think there is a fear of tainting legacy if success isn't achieved. Probably a big part of them not jumping back in.

There's Coughlin, Josh McDaniels, Sean McDermott, and Jim Mora Jr to name a few.
I'm sure the Bill Cowher just bought a house in Ponte Vedra rumor will surface again too.

That and they make good money to sit at a desk and talk about football once a week. They get to see their families, have more time off etc. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Think it'd be hilarious if Coughlin came back here. Playoffs 1st year Super Bowl 2nd year guaranteed!
Quote:Rooting for a draft position can be just as stressful. Take my word for it. Been doing it for a third of my life. That's true too. Just preparing myself for another 4-12 season
Quote:Think it'd be hilarious if Coughlin came back here. Why hilarious? I don't think he has a single tie to this team personnel wise anymore. Fresh start and a marketing dream.
Quote:Why hilarious? I don't think he has a single tie to this team personnel wise anymore. Fresh start and a marketing dream. I'm not saying I dislike the idea, just him coming back after him being here for awhile and being run out of town just seems comical that he'd entertain the thought. Quote:I'm not saying I dislike the idea, just him coming back after him being here for awhile and being run out of town just seems comical that he'd entertain the thought. Oh, I agree. He was past his point of effectiveness here and was run out. Think same thing happened in NY, but there is no arguing how effective he is at the beginning of his coaching tenures.
I'm not on the Coughlin train, but I do think this team has the talent to pull a KC and go from worst in the league to a contender just by hiring a coach
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Coughlin would be ideal. If there was a way we could get him for 3 years and in the mean time he starts grooming his replacement, who he starts easing in as he takes consulting duties starting in year 4 through 6, that would be the best way to go. |
