Sunday is a "Must Lose" game

Quote:I have defended Gus for over 3 years now. I wanted him to succeed because he is a genuinely good guy. He doesn't make excuses or throw his assistants "under the bus" like Del Rio. My point was he just doesn't have it as a head coach and it is in this team's best interests for him to be gone sooner rather than later.I want him fired tonight dude, but I'm not going to root against him Sunday. That's just wrong, have fun rooting against us for 14 more games. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Call me crazy but I'm still hoping Gus and David put it all together and we start winning and I will right until one of them isn't here. This crazy notion that you don't think ____ is any good so you'll root for failure to see change is mind blowing to me? What do you really gain other than beating your chest on a message board about being right that ___ was wrong. Did anyone really enjoy Gene Smiths ultimate failure? What about Jacks, Harris, Coughlin? At the end of day we're fans right? Screw that I hope we win and we win big.
Quote:You don't have to root for a loss because Gus is gonna give it to you. Just chill and enjoy the unnecessary misery brought to you by this owner and regime. Rooting for a loss from Gus is like rooting for Kanye to say something stupid at a Music Awards. You don't need to root for it, it's going to happen anyway.
Rooting for Gus to lose is like rooting for the Sun to come up in the morning.

Blake Bortles......YOU'RE FIRED! Dave Caldwell.....YOU'RE FIRED! Quote:You should want Gus to succeed, so you should want your team to win. If we're winning, something is going right and Gus may have righted the ship. You want us to lose just so he'll get fired? You either really hate Bradley for certain reasons, or he ran your dog over. ...or, maybe he just feels that Gus sucks and is holding this team back. Pretty common feeling. To me it's like taking off a band-aid. Either rip it off quickly and take the big pain once or spend a lot of time ripping it off slowly, which ends up incurring more pain than the first option. Personally, I won't root for my team to lose. If they do, however, don't expect me to be upset. Maybe I'm a "silver lining" guy. This problem will eventually be rectified, when Shad is tired of being the owner with the worst record in professional sports.

Quote:I want him fired tonight dude, but I'm not going to root against him Sunday. That's just wrong, have fun rooting against us for 14 more games. What I said, dude, is that it is in the best interests of this team for them to lose against the Ravens so Caldwell and Khan may be forced to fire him now rather than wait til the end of the season. I never said I will be rooting against them during the game as it is impossible for me to do this. If the team is 0-4 at the bye week and he's still not fired then he will be given until the end of the season.
When is it ever in the best interests of a professional sports franchise to lose?
Quote:I want us to win. I don't care about anything else. Have fun rooting for a loss. True dat. Even if we were 0-15 and potentially losing the 1st overall pick, I would still be hoping for that win. I hate losing. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Pretty common feeling.I feel like Gus sucks too, and I wanted him gone two years ago. Thing is, I'm not going to hope for losses just so he'll get fired. If we lose he gets fired, if we win, what is there to complain about? Quote:What I said, dude, is that it is in the best interests of this team for them to lose against the Ravens so Caldwell and Khan may be forced to fire him now rather than wait til the end of the season. If the team is 0-4 at the bye week and he's still not fired then he will be given until the end of the season. They're not going to fire him mid-season. Khan has said before he doesn't believe in firing staff members mid-season, so I doubt it'll happen this time around. This could change if we actually do go 0-4, but winning is the best interest for this football team. Quote:When is it ever in the best interests of a professional sports franchise to lose?Never. I'll be rooting for a win, expecting a lose.
On another note, I kind of wish I could just become a bandwagon fan and follow a proven winner. Less stress then.
8-8 this year if it means we go back to 4-12 for the next 3 years?

I wonder if we could just bump these threads every year instead of starting new ones. They are the same every year!!!! It's unbelievably depressing! Screw you Gus.
