I think body cams will become mandatory. It will help LEO's in the future as they are correct in their procedures 99.9% of the time. The cams will prove this to be correct in time. As far as the .01%, well they will be punished as law dictates for their crime. I do think maybe something like the ability for them to have it disabled while in their cruisers as that is basically their cubicle if you will should be a option. If they are out of the vehicle interacting in their public capacity cameras should be on.

I work closely with law enforcement and I can say that I can't remember hearing an officer say they don't want them. Our county officers currently do not have them and our city officers do.


Our county has looked into getting them and I'm positive they will have them eventually.

Most departments would not have a problem with body cameras. They can save money on litigation and payout of civil lawsuits.
