Week 3 injuries

#81

It is what it is, after watching New England I don't even care about who's injured at this point, just go out and do your job. At the BYE week we'll see what happens.

Also, at least Chris Smith will be on the active roster LOL.

We kept this guy and lost Tyrone Holmes because of that and now Smith is always a healthy scratch.

Meanwhile Hue Jackson...:

Odrick and Amukamara will most likely be out as well.

Just an inexplicable decision, Holmes had multiple hurries last week and is by all accounts a freak athlete with tons of production (albeit at lower levels) and upside. I'm starting the question the competency of our front office.

He was borderline dominant at times (albeit against 2nd/3rd stringers) in the preseason, the Vikings defensive line coach (along with Gil Brandt) compared his upside to Vikings star edge-rusher Everson Griffen.  They chose to cut a guy that's oozing with upside only to keep a player in Chris Smith that is merely just a "guy", what makes the decision more troubling is Smith has been INACTIVE the first two weeks, [BLEEP] is going on?

Oh good, I was hoping he would be in there to drop into soft zone and be nowhere near the ball.

I know I certainly would have kept Holmes over bringing in Arthur Brown to be the backup OTTO, but then again, I don't get paid the big bucks to make such calls.

It's good to hear that Odrick, Prince and House are likely all playing. Still, I worry about Beachum and Linder being out. I'm not so worried about Chris Smith taking over, but Joekel was moved from LT for good reason, and the downgrade from Linder to Shatley is enormous. I hope he proves me wrong, but Shatley had some ugly preseason moments and I don't believe he'd make another roster if waived. I wish Bowanko was active.

Odrick is day to day. Sounds like he'll probably play.

I would imagine Prince will be held out again. They didn't sound too optimistic for him.

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Well they were at the walk-thru, so I took that as I sign they likely will. It's still a gameday decision though on everyone.

Ok, so as of now, only Linder and Beachum are out. House, Ivory, Robinson, Cyp and Gipson are on the injury report, but are all expected to play, and Odrick and Amukamara are game time decisions. Is that correct?

Beachum nor Linder played in our win last year against Bal. so that is no excuse

Linder is listed as "questionable," so technically he's a gametime decision as well, although he missed the walk-through and AJ Cann mentioned in his presser that he's expecting Reed and "Shat" to start. Gipson and Ivory are also listed as questionable, but we're all expecting them to play. ...Ivory for sure as they've all been talking about how good he looks.

I'm a little surprised that Parnell is not at least listed as "probable" on the injury report as he had a groin issue or something vs the Chargers. It must have been minor. House and Cyprien aren't listed either. Neither was ARob, but he wasn't actually injured...just missed a practice. They were all simply removed from the final injury report.

Most Jags wanted this front office to keep Holmes, the decision to cut him only to keep guys like Alualu and Smith (only to keep them inactive on gameda) is totally non-sensical, I'm hoping Holmes turns into a productive player just to show how incompetent of a decision that was.

I think the NFL did away with probable as a designation.
