Malik Jackson Laughs

Quote:People aren't annoyed that others want change. Ideally, a message board is a place for people of similar interests to discuss a common interest. What is annoying is that some posters complain for the sake of complaining. Or others who complain about certain aspects of the team even if it is plain obvious that they have no idea what they are talking about. After this debacle of a game vs. the Chargers, here's some examples:

*Malik isn't disruptive enough

*Fowler isn't finishing

*note* Malik had several pressures vs. SD, one leading to a Fowler sack. The other Fowler sack was caused by blitz pressure (IIRC, it was Poz).

Here's another gem: "linebackers are linebackers. There's no difference. Just play them."

Are defensive backs just defensive backs too? How about defensive tackles?

There's been a few others as well.

Everyone has a right to complain. But if you want to have an actual discussion, bring legitimate points to the table. As it is, this board very often becomes nothing more than a sounding board for complaints rather than an avenue for debate and discussion.

Fair enough, I can agree with that.

New Jersey Jaguars fan.

Dude ---we were down 35-0.  That's pretty much a legitimate point to complain about any aspect of the game last week.

Your very few points above remind me of the Gus Bradley version of highlighting 2 of 70 plays and building on the momentum that was established last week.

Quote:I suppose I also must subject myself to re-watch this game. I do not recall Malik having much impact. I can't say I was of a very good mindset after the Chargers ran it down that D-lines throat on the first drive though. Whatever impact you all saw I think we can agree it has to be more.

You don't remember that 1 play?

That's the one good thing about liking a bad teamSmile You get plastered earlier for the wrong reasons

Another post filled with logic and reason. A certain subset of this forum will surely have a problem with this. Smile

Lol at the attempt for an excuse as to why this coaching staff isn't playing Myles Jack.

I bet Bill Hoodie would have Jack on the field. I bet most coaches would have Jack on the field.

Unfortunately the Jags had to spend in FA, and when you do that you always overpay. Malik is getting pressure. People I think are spoiled by flashy DTs like Suh who are just monsters. Normally a good defensive tackles job is what Malik is doing now

Malik has been playing well. Edge rushers are not getting around to make the qb step up into the pocket

This is why I don't share as much anymore.

Very few conversations to be had.  Most are just gripes, and any attempt to discuss and that poster becomes the next target to release the anger on.

You have to find a way.

Seems like he's a "process" person, and rigidly so.

There's nothing wrong with being a process person as long as you close the loop.  If your feedback/servo mechanism is broken, then you aren't continuously improving the process.  You're just being repetitive, and leaving out one of the most important elements in the process.

Someday you will all recognize that this team, even 3 years ago, was worse with Bradley than they would've been with someone else.

Agree, though there was nothing to suggest that three years ago.

Then, it was a forward thinking hire, trying to tap an up and coming coach.  To guess back then that we would be where we are now, would be just that - a very blind guess.

The other 20% are here saying Malik Jackson is a problem.
