***Official Texans @ Patriots Thursday Night Football Game Thread***

(This post was last modified: 09-23-2016, 05:06 AM by RedRooster28.)

And that's what a well coached team looks like.

3rd string rookie QB on a short week? Then you just shut the other team out. Problem solved.

Unreal performance. BB was READY for these first 4 games. Preparation.

Yup! The man from RVA speaks truth. Like him or hate him, you have to respect how well prepared Belichick and his teams are on gameday.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Yup Hopkins had like 56 yards I think. Shut him down for the most part because I believe all those were in the first half.

That sheard guy for NE was a wrecking ball at DE all night. He was constantly pushing that RT into OSweiler all night.

What loss is worse? Us getting beat down by SD without their WRs or RB but still having Rivers or Houston getting shut out by a 3rd string rookie in his first NFL start?

I have a conspiracy theory that the NFL wants Houston to succeed and the placement of New England on their schedule kind of raises some flags.

Right in line with most of your other conspiracy theories I'd say.

Getting shut out/blowni out on a prime time game by a 3rd string rookie qb is by far worse. But consider the coaches too. BB is far better than BOB, Gus, and Mike McCoy.

Quote:Jaguars were the opponent that last shut out the Texans during a regular season game 27-0 at EverBank Field back on December 3, 2003!   :woot:   Smile  B)   ^_^

Patriots also officially defeated the Texans tonight 27-0!   Wink

Quote:tacks, clots, and even the tin horns tonight look better than we do.  Make no mistake, we've got no chance at the AFCS title this year.  If we couldn't take control last year, you'd be ridiculous to think we have a shot this year.

I'm not sure if anyone actually watched the tack v. Lions game...  But the tacks looked pretty good last Sunday.  An MM out classed BB5 by a mile last Sunday.

Even factoring in Ziggy Ansah going down very early in the game and the Lions being depleted at LB because of injuries,  I give Marcus Mariota and his team plenty of credit for coming back from 12 down in the 4th QTR to win the game.  Mariota didn't let a 3rd QTR interception by Glover Quin affect him in an adverse manner.   For a QB with relatively limited NFL experience,  he displayed impressive poise.   His eventual game winning TD pass to future HOFer WR Andre Johnson was a great play on both ends.
