Poll: Should Gus Bradley be Fired this season

Fire Gus Bradley (MERGED)

Quote:Was it really meaningful? It was a sloppy slugfest and the Titans were lacking talent.
Any early season win is meaningful imo, any win that takes you to a winning or tie record and that's the only one. We haven't even had a win that takes us within 1 win of a tie record aside from that... so bad.

Quote:Hopefully we fire him next Sunday and leave him in London.
Please don't leave him here.

Thanks.

I suppose because nobody on the current coaching staff is really going to turn anything around.  Might as well wait until the bye week so that the next coach has more time to prepare and try to change things.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Good question....WHY?

Plug in Marrone, Miles or Mickey Mouse for all I care....and let them and these players play for THEIR JOBS next year.

Law of natural selection.

Gus needs to be shown the door. The sooner, the better.

Quote:Not remember the fins game last year when we thought we'd finally turned the corner?

We havent had a winning record (1-0, 5-4, 11-3 etc whatever) since week 1 of 2011. The closest a team is to that record are the Saints who finished the 2013 season with a winning record.

That's over FIVE years since we finished a game with a winning record. FIVE MOTHER%. YEARS.

Oh I remember. I just don't consider a win in week 2 against a non-division opponent to get BACK to .500 or a narrow win in spite of ourselves to reach 2 games UNDER .500 "meaningful."

Outside of the obvious meaning that if those are your signature victories you're pathetic.

Like him as a person. As a coach, the results are exceedingly clear. He is the worst in NFL history. Time to go

Quote:What's the point? A change is needed now.

Because the bye week gives the interim coach an additional week to enact the changes they desire.

We will 100% have a new head coach for next season. Caldwell/Khan should give him 2 years at very most to get results. No more wasted years , you get it done and you do it well or you are gone.

This next hiring should be made very carefully as it will be Caldwell's last if if things go sour.

Personally I'm all set on getting Todd Haley, although I'm not sure if he would come here. I don't want any college coach's or first time HCs.

If by the grace of God we were to manage a playoff spot from the stars aligning perfectly for us in this terrible division, DOES ANYONE, ANYWHERE THINK BUS GLADLY COULD COACH IN THE PLAYOFFS???????????????????

That's just another of many reasons to send him the pink slip.

This team has lost so many games in so many different ways with Bradley as HC that it started off as kind of funny then frustrating, then irritating, then angry, and now it's just sad watching this team lose all the time week in and week out. Mr. Khan, as fans, we deserve better than this. I understand that Bradley probably will not be fired midway through the season (which is probably a sign that the team is playing for a favorable draft spot at this point), but understand that as fans we're tired of the losing culture and stigma that surrounds this franchise and city, and we want something better. If you continue to waste our time and money week in, and week out every season on a losing product, we will not support this team any longer. These past 3 weeks have shown that it's not a talent problem at this point as it is so much a coaching problem. Stupid penalties, a lack of discipline, and the inability to fight back and overcome adversity have held this team back for a long time-and it doesn't seem to be getting any better at this point.

The reality is that very few people can successfully coach a team in the NFL, and Gus just happens to be one of those people. He seems like a great defensive coordinator and an all around good guy, but he is just not cut out for a head coaching job. It's not only obvious to Jags fans, but even fans of other opposing teams have pointed out his lack of competence. If Gus Bradley were to willingly resign tomorrow morning as HC of the Jaguars, he would actually earn my respect as a man. I don't know if Caldwell or Khan actually read anything on this forum, but if they do, and they happen to see this post, understand that it's okay, you made a mistake with Gus, and I'm sure you'll learn from this experience and make a wiser decision next time around.

He can't even coach a regular season game, let alone a playoff game.  He wouldn't know how to make adjustments, have sound clock management, scheme recognition.  This list is way beyond the scope of a competent head coach.

I want someone from the college ranks. Somebody fresh, with new ideas.

Someone that will let the players dictate the scheme.

Quote:And then we rebuild again? Nahh, start the process now. The players can learn on the job, get them one step ahead for next season if anything.
Who said anything about rebuild? Any good HC candidate has a job already. You'll have to wait whether you like it or not. The jags future HC isn't coming this season.
