***Official Falcons @ Saints Monday Night Football Game Thread***

#1

Hi, Jaguars fans!   Smile  Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons travel southwest to play Drew Brees and the New Orleans for a prime time game on ESPN.  Falcons and Saints are playing in their 93rd all-time meeting, with Atlanta leading with 48 wins and 45 losses in thir rivalry prior Monday Night.

NO injuries to both the Saints and Falcons, but I hope the Saints win their first regular season game in 2016!   Wink  Smile  B)   ^_^

I'm not going out on the limp with my prediction that this will be the lowest rated MNF game of the season because of what's going on at Hofstra University.  Ironically,  the school that former long tiime Saints WR Marques Colston played his college ball and a school that no longer has a football team.

This is in essence the 10th Anniversary of the Saints first home game after Hurricane Katrina.   The Superdome was never rocking louder than it was that Monday Night against the Falcons.

I have no doubt this will be the lowest-rated MNF game all year, but the debate's location is irrelevant. The good news for networks is Falcons and Saints fans can record Cliinton vs. Trump to watch the game.

Will the 10th Katrinia anniversary make a difference in viewership among fans of teams not named the Falcons and Saints? I think the presidential debate will negate any gain that might produce.

There will be over 100 million viewers watching the debate tonight. Nobody cares about this game. The ratings for this game and others that fall on debate night are going to get hammered, and rightfully so.

I mentioned the debate's location because I didn't want to specifically mention the debate because the Administrators and Moderators requested that political discussions should only be in the Political Forum.   After mentioning the location,  the Marques Colston/ Hofstra connection came to mind.

Almost always,  NFL games get higher ratings than other sporting events on TV.   But the NFL is up against something that it very likely won't be able to overcome tonight.

People who are not registered to vote (which are in the millions, unfortunately) will not watch the debate. I am sure some of those people are Saints or Falcons fans. I doubt the NFL likes people choosing not to be voters, but they will help at least a little bit in Nielson ratings. As a voter who never misses an election, I wish Clinton and Trump did not choose a Monday night for their first debate because it creates a problem for Saints and Falcons fans who also are Democrats and Republicans.

Did Amelia just start this thread because he always does for prime time games or actually plan to watch the wrong TV channel?

I just thought of something. If you want to watch the game and are registered to vote, record the presidental debate.

I am sure not everybody thought about doing it already. Sometimes people decide on debate day whether to watch it or not.

I vote in every general election and most primaries.

I heard about that on the radio. But I missed the C'mon man segment. Anyone got a link? Or know where I can go to see it?

My guess would be the ESPN site...other than that, I don't know. Hopefully it will be on there somewhere.
