Our secondary is Much Improved to say the least. Josh Johnson alone has shown an major upgrade from recent years past. Cyprien can play closer to the line of scrimmage due to the play of Gipson. And there's a rookie on our team named Ramsey that shows up to play regardless of who's in front of him. House has had some cover issues this season to which Colvin may rectify that. The return of Colvin will solidify the secondary baring an drop off or injury. Caldwell has seriously put together a Good Defense that just may be jelling at the right time for a potential serious push...

The Jaguars defense is ranked #5 in yards against per play with 4.7.

Scratch Rivers. They did nothing against him for three quarters.

Quote:I am afraid the only Chargers play I will remember when this season ends is the one where two DBs sandwiched a receiver at the 5 without making any attempt to bring him down. It was not a bomb play, but the Chargers got a lot of passing yards on it. I think House was the one who did not tackle the receiver on the spot. Thank God nothing like that happened Sunday.

That was Cyp and Gratz... aka Ren and Stimpy. They don't count.

For some reason I kept thinking Ramsey was one of them.

Can't wait for Colvin to come back. He plays with fire, i'm sure everyone remembers that "Where yo dog at" video. He is a gamer and is going to elevate the team.

Quote:If true, this is a nice find!

So essentially we would be 22.75 points against. That would put us at 18th in ppg.

In case we have not noticed, we are also 6th in yards per game allowed.

But you have to also account that in 4 games we would have some turnovers. So just to be 50/50, lets cut the turnovers in half and assume we only allowed 9 points off turnovers. This means it would be at 24.75ppg.

He is a cat, not a dog.

Do you mean "Who let the dogs out?"

Prince, Ramsey, and Gipson have brought life to our secondary. If we can get a solid 3rd corner and a SS that can cover.

House has dropped off a cliff.

Gratz dropped of a cliff 2 years ago.

Johnson is promising.

Colvin is decent but availability is his thorn.

Why does our secondary get worse as they learn the system. Who ever coaches them makes them worse, ie McCray/Gratz/House. Hopefully Ramsey isn't listening.

I am not worried about Colvin's availability. Now he has a full week to catch up with the rest of  the defense. He probably worked out a lot to stay in shape during his four weeks off.

Hopefully he's not a catdog. He would be alone in the world, and how would he go to the restroom? Sounds like a life not worth living.

I feel like this secondary is a SS away from becoming great. And a new DB coach... there's a major regression every season. House is this years. McCray last year. Gratz for the last 3 after a decent rookie year. Walker is the only constant... and he sucked as a coach at NMSU. Secondary is loaded though... finally.
