Omameh wasn't perfect but he plays pretty physical. I like that for a Guard. Luke was just too finesse for me.

He doesn't have to be perfect.  Just better than Joeckel.  That's a low bar.

Apparently everyone is just assuming he tore his ACL because of the words "season ending." If the diagnosis was officially reported, somebody would have posted it by now.

The nature of the injury is completely irrelevant.  It's season ending.  That's what matters.  Putting him on the IR has been ***OFFICIALLY*** announced by the team.  That's good enough for most.

Luke has not lived up to 'reasonable' expectations for a lineman who was drafted as high as he was. This is also the second major injury to him in four years of being here. Furthermore, he was too often more of a liability on the left side of the line than an asset. So while I do not wish Luke Joeckel 'ill will', I do think that it's time to move on from him. Not re-signing him here is the right move.

Hate to be happy about this but i'm glad nature took the decision out of Caldwell/bradleys hands.. Dude sucks I hope he heals up tho don't wish pain on anybody but he needs to take his millions and get the hell off our roster.

 

Mother Nature did not make any decision for Caldwell. He already decided in March not to extend Joeckel for a fifth season.

The MRI was probably inconclusive on some aspect of it. As in findings "likely show"  and so forth. Probably showed enough to know he will require surgery and be out all year, but not the full extent of things. So they are waiting to do the arthroscopy to give the definitive diagnosis.

Which makes sense. It is actually a fairly common injury. Common enough to have earned the terms "Unhappy triad or "terrible triad" or "horrible triangle". Those are all older terms when it was truly devastating. Luke can still recover from it, especially since he is offensive lineman.
