Disgusting

Quote:Disgusting? Not even close. This team is nowhere near deep enough to overcome the loss of their best RB, WR and SS on top of players that have been out even longer. This. We played a good game today but our lack of depth and talent on offense was glaringly highlighted. I was hoping we had enough depth to beat the Bills, but we're worse than I thought beyond MJD and CSIII. But it's okay, we played like who we are. Back ups and rookies can't be expected to carry the team. It's all good. I'm not too terribly disappointed. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I'm not going to post again for about a week. That's how disappointed I am today, But who will we turn to for a new thread about every random thought? Quote:Dumb threadDumb thread is dumb.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
I thought EJ looked pretty darn good after starting slow. And I have to give props o Kerry Taylor... He dropped a key pass but made up for it with some clutch catches.
I think the thing that frustrated me the most out of everything that happened today was the fact that when henne had LITERALLY ALL DAY TO THROW THE BALL, he'd take off running and get like three yards instead of waiting until the last possible moment to run. That's probably (besides the picks) the thing that annoyes me the most about him.

Quote:O-line is also depleted at this point. Despite this, They were killing it in the run game. I could have averaged 4 ypc in the second half. Quote:Just to be different, Bortles.
This loss sucks, and I will not argue with that. But our team has shown that even with the most beat up of squads we can still compete. We were without Shorts, MJD, and our up and coming star in Cyprien and still only loss by 7. I know its Buffalo and all but, come on!!! We have a lot to look forward too in the next few years!!! Our team has finally started to move in a positive direction. Give us two more years and I feel we will be the team to take the AFC South!!!
Biased refs? Love it
Robinson fumble was heartbreaking but no way should we cut him. He had a good run. He just needs some more coaching thats all.

I don't mind this loss, it would be one thing if we got out played, but honestly we beat the Bills without stupid turnovers.. these things can be fixed.. the bright side is a better draft position.
Go Jags

I agree. The team competed. I fully expected Buffalo to win big with us being without MJD, Shorts and Cyp. They were missed as I think we win the game if those guys play. But a team of mostly backups stuck it out until the last minute.

I saw a lot of good things today. The final score doesn't matter. The Jags were undermanned and still fought hard. It was a game where the momentum didn't stay with either team for very long. Todman looks like a RB we need to keep, and Shoelace looked electric out there in the open field. Robinson's lack of ball security was the difference in the game, but this might be a good thing. He finally got a taste of success, but his blunder also makes him the goat. I think the harsh mixture of success and failure he had on the same play can help him take the next step. Ball security is holding him back, and any success he might have will only come after the fumbling issue is addressed.
Also note that the Jags had 4 turnovers and still were in the game til the final minute. This is a scrappy team. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:After watching all of the first 8 games of the season I can't use the same word to describe these performances. We made some plays all game just the negatives outweighed the positives but they're all correctable just hold onto the stinking ball next time. O-line is also depleted at this point. We couldn't stop the run and dumb penalties kept them going. Exactly. This is our first loss by less than 10 points despite the fact two starters on offense and one on defense were out with injuries. That is progress. "Depleted" might be an exaggeration, but we did lose Mike Brewster. Does anyone know what happened to him? Quote:The most frustrating play was the D Rob fumble by a wide margin. A lot of people in my section (213) thought he scored. I was surprised Denard did not get in with the ball.
This game was far from disgusting. The Jags had a lot of things going against them in this game and they still had a chance in the 4th quarter to pull it out. That says a lot about the coaching staff.
It ended up being a nailbiter between 2 bad teams and 1 of them had to win. A play here and a penalty there made the difference in the game today. Ask yourself 1 question: who would you rather your team be right now going forward, the Jags or the Bills?
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
An injured team that has little talent to begin with loses by seven points. Not that bad actually.

Quote:Exactly. This is our first loss by less than 10 points despite the fact two starters on offense and one on defense were out with injuries. That is progress. Brewster broke his ankle. McClendon didn't play all that bad. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
Going into the game against Buffalo the Jaguars were 4-9, and now you're disgusted?
The time to be disgusted was after the game in London, when it appeared all hope was lost. Instead, hope has arrived and now every game is just gravy. Today helped remind us why the Jags will end up 6-10, 5-11 or so. It will take a while to stock the roster. We're certainly not at the point where we can just assume a victory, even against a team like the Bills. Once we get to that point and we lose to a 4-9 Bills team, you can then get disgusted to your heart's content.
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.
Quote:Brewster broke his ankle. McClendon didn't play all that bad. Unbelievable. I never even saw him down, only trainers helping him off the field. How did he get hurt? |
