Is there really no FSU v. Miami thread?!

Come on y'all! That was a great game!

There's nothing to say? No outrage over Richt? No disgust over FSU? Nothin'?!

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Or maybe it's because they were all worrying about the actual hurricane that was threatening us last week, rather than the ones in Miami. That would be my guess...

Good point. There probably weren't enough people with electricity to be able to watch the game.

Man! I am sooooo insensitive!

I'm a Miami fan:

Tough one to watch. Miami got very conservative in the 2nd half I thought. Too many 3 and outs.

I'm not your typical Miami fan where I think we'll win every game by 50 but this game was there for the taking and they couldn't pull it out.

I have faith that Richt will make Miami relevant again in terms of competing in the ACC and being in the playoff picture.

For this season, we will see how Miami fares with Unc, VT, and ND ahead. I think they end up 10-2.

I was in NC. Caught the game from the hotel room. Typical FSU/ThugU game. Down to the wire. 7 in a row. Cook brought the sod home.

Francois really impressed me in that game. Miami D had him dead to rights all night. Dude kept pickin himself up like a champ and really hung in there. Kid is gonna be a star.. Has to be bruised to [BLEEP] right now though.

^^^ This

In fact, until my neighbor texted me with Go Noles on Saturday night, I totally forgot that game was scheduled for Sat night.  So strange how everything become irrelevant when a natural disaster hits home.

I thought the officiating crew was rather lenient with some of the physical play. I didn't mind it very much, but some things seemed to really get out of hand. Francois had his helmet popped off more than once in that game.

Still a little shocked the game was not rescheduled. Meanwhile the Governer was telling folks to leave the state ASAP

There were quite a few cheap shots on Francois Saturday night, but that's part of a rivalry game.

Mark Richt.  Really good coach but juuuuust doesnt get over the finish line.  Miami will be a perennial top 5-15 ranked team.

Miami played very dirty. Blatantly trying to injure Francois on multiple occasions. Fsu wins a hard fought and chippy game. Richt is as advertised coach....can't win the big games.

All the FSU fans talking about dirty hits do know that your player was kicked out of the game for a targeting hit on the Miami qb, right?

That hit was hardly malicious.

The closing speed of the defenders in this game was amazing.  Just when it looked like someone was going to break a long one, a defender would come in and make a TD saving tackle.

Also, I did like the fact that the officials let the defenses hit the QBs.  I honestly miss that in the NFL.

That was a good call...FSU didn't get any roughing QB calls on our QB. Call the game fairly and protect the QB. Francois is a tough kid though and hung in there. We weren't talking about one play....it was the entire game. Miami played a very dirty game.

I thought both teams played tough.  Some of the hits were close calls, but if I'm being fair,  to call them blatantly dirty is homerism at its finest.  FSU's quarterback is a tough kid and took some tough shots.  That line needs to get better.
