I been telling yall Boyd is nothing but a 2nd round pick and plays bad vs good defenses, pass
<B><FONT color=cyan>Jags this is your year</FONT></B>
Lol at how wishy washy everyone was the last few pages. OMG 2ND OVERALL PICK, one page later, OMG BAD NIGHT FOR BOYD.
As I've said several times, he's slightly above average. He had a fantastic primetime bowl game against LSU last year and everyone in the offseason went bonkers over him. Outside of that one game he is extremely inconsistent. He's not a top 5 QB prospect this draft...and probably will wind up going late 2nd round to one of the contenders w/ an aging QB that needs to develop someone like the Pats or Saints.
You'll never know....I mean I never thought EJ was going to be a first rounder, but he was. Though,EJ has a much higher ceiling than Boyd.

It is sort of funny how this was going to be the deepest QB class in history we were told earlier this year. Now we see guys like Boyd, Murray (pre-injury), McCarron, Manziel, Mariota and Hundley go back to reality. Most of them will be second, third, fourth rounders. I don't think this year will be all that different than 2011.

dude accepted the senior bowl invite as expected
the two games ive seen him play he hasnt impressed. he still has his bowl game and the senior bowl to impress but i doubt he can improve his stock from a fringe first round prospect, and thats being generous. I don't think this year will be all that different than 2011.It is 'deep', there will be probably more than a dozen QBs with draftable grades. That is extraordinarily high. Unfortunately there are only probably 4-5 that have franchise QB potential and only 2-3 with odds higher than 50/50.
It might sound crazy, but for some reason I think Boyd will be drafted late in the first round, maybe to us. Gus Bradley came from Seattle so he knows what qualities to look for in mobile QBs. I don't think he and Caldwell will take a chance at Manziel.
Had Boyd played better vs South Carolina, I think his stock would be higher, although he still has a bowl game and the senior bowl to improve that. Honestly I don't think Boyd is anything special, but he is interesting as a prospect. I just have a gut feeling, that Bradley will take him in the second. Quote:Has Kodiak scouted Boyd yet? Interested in reading a write-up on him. I can't wait to watch him against Ohio State.
LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.
Liked Boyd coming in, but he's had some rough moments this season. Still, if he slips and is available in the 2nd and especially to the 3rd, I would still not mind taking a chance on him and see if he can develop.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Quote:Boyd will be a Jag Tajh could be the 1st Muslim QB to start in the NFL
Quote:http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2014tboyd.php "Boyd has real passing and running ability, so the only real knock on him is his lack of height." Agree 100% if he was 6'5" he would be the first pick in the draft. I would love Tajh in the 2nd.

Eh.... Walterfootball has something against the Jags. Guy probably doesn't watch college or pro football and just reads random reports on the internet to do his scouting
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
