Since it's gonna keep changing as we win/lose games. Or as other teams win/lose games. Who do we pick if we're sitting at #3 come draft day?

 

I could see Clowney falling to us if Texans go Teddy. Best case is the Redskins win some games with Cousins and bump us up to #2.

I saw on DraftCountdown.com that Anthony Barr would fall to Jacksonville at #5. I could live with that.

Barr would please me the most. Outside Teddy, I'm not sold on any of the other QBs. Caldwell will have to make a difficult decision as we cannot continue with Ghenne, but the QB class looks suspect once again.

If we're at three, I'm assuming the Texans take Teddy and the Rams take Clowney or Matthews.


In that scenario, I'm thinking Barr or Carr. Both raw prospects with a ton of physical tools and upside as well as production. Would be happy with either.

The idea of the best de tandem in the league for the next 10 years or so might overwhelm them, especially if they think this is a deep class or go after cutler in fa (if he hits it). Right now picking top 5 I'd be happy with Clowney/Barr/Teddy/Carr...

The thing is, with the HC gone, and a new one coming in next year, And the QB class of this year, and maybe even a new GM depending on how things go... I doubt the Texans MB will reflect any of the feelings the new leadership will have when they come in. And I promise that if the redskins stay at #2 the rams will find someone to trade back with that will take Teddy, hell it might even be the vikings who looks like they'll have a new HC next year as well. The Rams are going to have draft picks stockpiled for the next 5 years at this rate.

As in, is Clowney actually too big for the position?


Obviously he is explosive enough but the LEO always seems to be a good deal smaller... 6'2" 250-ish.

I think the way the position is designed, whoever it is needs to be quick more than big, and usually the larger u get the slower they are, remember they aren't lining up directly on the line they have some extra ground to cover so they have to have the speed to make up for it.

Right but Clowney is pretty fast, so does his size exclude him? Or is it ok as long as the player is fast enough?
