A-Rob is just another example of a promising player not developing under this coaching staff. Most times they regress.

ARob is not as good this year, a regular trend with Jags draft picks.

Being a top ten receiver and going to the pro bowl don't equal "development" but dropping three passes in 5 games in year three clearly means this staff has let him down.

Are you saying that because of his production?

No, it's because the coach sucks.

Quote:This is my favorite.  There's not a soul within five yards of Robinson after he's already made his cut, slowed down and is waiting on the football.

Bortles throws it high and inside and AR15 takes a punishing hit as a result.

A similar thing happened against the Packers in week one. Bortles had Robinson open on 2nd down from about the 25 yard line when the game was 27-20. Robinson is running up the field against what appears to be some variation of Cover 3. If Bortles just leads Robinson straight up the field or a little outside, it would have been a walk in touchdown. Instead Bortles leads Robinson into the middle of the field and Clinton-Dix is able to hit Robinson and break up the pass.

With the screen shots shared by NYC, I'm surprised that's your opinion.

I don't want to hear too much on BB to AB this year. AB dropped a TD last week which would have given this team breathing room. He also dropped two or three passes in London against the clots, two of them were chunk plays. He got straight mugged in the opener in GB which the NFL later came back and admitted there was an issue there. So let's not act like it's ALL on BB. AB needs to step up and catch more passes coming his way too. It's not over yet though. We still have 11 more games for him to produce. But he's GOT to catch the football when it's near him. Especially in the endzone. We looked great on the opening drive and that drop pass that lead to an INT honestly set the rhythm back.

^It's both.

Those frames clearly show that AROB still gets separation a lot of the time (in contrast to what a certain "inept" poster was stating.

AROB is getting a case of the "drops" at times again this season. If we remember his rookie year, he had a terrible case of the "dropsies". He's getting them again, but not near as bad as his rookie season.

Bortles is inaccurate a lot more than last year too. He doesn't see a wide open WR at times. And other times, as those frames clearly show, AROB is wide open but BB throws it to a spot that makes it a contested ball or a crunching hit.

It's a combination of both of them. AROB needs to hang on to catchable balls (especially TDs, lol : and BB needs to improve accuracy).

With this defense and kicking game developing nicely, a good run game for the Jags would make this team VERY competitive. It would take the pressure off of Bortles and AROB, and their inaccuracies and mistakes wouldn't be so amplified.

Honestly, his 2 biggest 'drops' this year cost us a win vs GB and Blake an INT. Has he taken a step back? I don't know, i'm not a WR coach or have time to watch every play over and over on the all 22. All I know is he has dropped some balls that he should have caught that would have helped out this team and QB. He isn't getting the jump balls this year either, not sure by design or Blake isn't throwing them or they are covered.

Also, Leftwich never completed 61 percent at any point in his career so i hate when people like you just make up bogus stuff to fit your narrative.

Tim tebow at least beat the Steelers in the playoffs. Blake will never make the playoffs because his ability to find the open receiver is worse than tebow.

Where is Tim Tebow now? Do do us a favor and go pray with him as he try to swing a bat because no NFL team wanted him. I wouldn't be surprised if Tim Tebow wears his Letterman jacket to instructional league games and if you hate blake as our qb go root for another team because he's our qb so get over it.

Sux for me because he's on my fantasy team & I'm having to start Eddie Royal with Brian Hoyer as his QB.
shouldn't have done that
