Possibly the Biggest Game Ever at Everbank

#41

Quote:It's a bigger than normal game, obviously.

JDR will want to make a statement. There is undoubtedly a chip on his shoulder, and he'll have his team fired up.

Casey will want to make a statement. He doesn't want to be compared (unfavorably) to our old coach should the Jags fall on Sunday. Beating JDR, even on home turf, should be enough to vindicate Khan & Calwell's faith in him. Not to mention, the Raiders will be the first team that Bradley has beaten with a winning record since, I don't know...Pet Rocks were still being sold? (That's for JDub)

When JDR took over the Raiders, his team was about as bad as the Jags. This should be a good measuring stick as to how far each GM-HC pairing has come.

I do not know or care when pet rocks were popular. By the time they were invented I was too old for them.

The Raiders are like us: a playoff darkhorse that got a lot more talent (especially on defense), but is not "clicking" for some reason. This game can go either way.

You were "too old" in 1975? I thought I was older than you.

Quote:How is it humanly possible for a Jaguars fan to call any regular season game bigger than either of the two AFC Championship games we lost at EverBank Field or Super Bowl 39? It is not even close to being the biggest regular season Jags home game, much less the playoffs in 2000.
title says "at Everbank". ..

Those games were at Alltell

Does not matter. It is the same stadium. Nothing else matters.

I'm not sure of the biggest game BUT

Taking a look at the TV Map for this week, and it might as well be a prime time game for us. More than half of the country will be watching us

Biggest game since Jack left.

By the end of it, the Ponce de Leon cup will be ours to lose.

And - is it the biggest game for...

Jack del Raider?

No talk about the most crucial players in the game? If the kickers are not discussed, I must disregard this thread entirely.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

The media is talking up how our offense will break out against the NFL's worst defense. They think we can get back on track because of Oakland's statistics.

This is a big game so watch us come out flat as hell and struggle in all 3 phases.

Raiders will win this and it probably won't be close.

Yea, i dont think it will even be close. This is the game we need to make a statement in to say hey listen, we are back. 3-3 would be huge for this time.

Why do you love to be so negative about everything related to the Jaguars, who you claim to be your favorite team?

Dude you know you say the same thing every week......Jags suck, Jags are gonna get killed, etc. I assume you think that it makes you look smart, or that you know football, when you predict the same thing week in and week out and eventually hit on it. The Jags have won 2 in a row, are 1 win away from .500, and are in the race for the division, and yet you can't find one positive thing to say about the team? And on top of it all you claim to be a fan of this team? I would think that if you were a fan of this team you would actually root for them every once in awhile, instead of constantly against them.

Nailed it. Real Jaguars fans know something good happened when they see it and give the team credit. Brooklyn needs to read my signature.

I predicted the Jags to win vs the Colts. But keep following your agenda on here with everyone else. Actually my predictions have been spot on this year.

To be fair to Bklyn what he said wasn't even that negative. I think the Raiders are going to whoop us tomorrow too.

And I guarantee your prediction was something along the lines of the Jags winning only because the Colts are terrible and we couldn't beat anyone else. I'm sure it was something similar to that. Have some pride in your team and let's get this season turned around. Let's go win the South!

You act like this team has given me any reason to think different.

Yet, you will be upset if they do, and rag the team. Negative energy begets negative outcome. Inferior feelings solidfy inferior status.

I think the Jags will be quite comfortable tomorrow.
Success is a journey, not a destination.  Go all out Mighty Jaguars.
