I agree 100% with this call, I'm saddened that he wont get 1k yards but he is our #1 of the future and I don't want him to get hurt in these last few meaningless games, and no I'm not a tanker but once the playoffs are no longer a possibility the games are meaningless.

Next season is a long ways away and he can't even stay clean after being suspended for 4 games. If he shows up next season ready to play, then that only helps us. Just out of interest how do you define number one receiver? its like the definition of elite and franchise QB it is very subjective and rarely defined to me a number one receiver is the guy that routinely takes on double teams and beats them Now shorts isn't that guy right now and I won't argue he may never be.
