Quote:Umm.....Bortles has 54 TDs and 44 INTs in his career. Henne has 58 TDs and 63 INTs in his career. It's not even close to the same talent level.

I heard Chad Henne is the only QB who played a certain number of games  and has more career interceptions than touchdowns.

Quote:A 23 year old QB who threw for 35 TDs and 4400 yards (a season only accomplished ONCE in Aaron Rodgers career) is not repairable? Get out of here. Maybe by the Jags inept management and coaching. Belichick and Andy Reid would correct it in ONE week.
Your homerism blinds you from actually seeing the QB he was last year. How many first quarter TDs has he thrown in his career? How many of his TDs and yards comes from when this team is behind? How many games has he had where he has zero turnovers?

You mean to tell me you wouldn't trade Bortles for Rodgers?

I predict Fowler will be lined up in the neutral zone.

I predict he will be lined up on he Titans offense and will sack Jalen Ramsey.

Quote:[BAD WORD REMOVED] lebeau d destroys and injures bortles. Henne comes in and leads the jags to victory.

We have a lot of injuries including two starting DBs, and the backups really really suck. Like really really suck.

Bortles will probably have a career day

They said Bortles would have a 'career day' against the Raiders too.....we saw how that turned out.

Although he did have a hell of a game against the Titans last year in Nashville.  If ANYONE could tackle on the defense, we would've won that game.

I'd like to point out, most QBs throw more when behind.

Drew Brees has been cracking 4k yards because of being on teams with regularly awful defenses, much like the Jags.

This season is the first year we've had truly solid defensive play.

I'm not dismissing all of Bortles' issues coming up this season. I just don't have the extreme "done" view that many have led by Bart Scott.

in 2015 Bortles' TDs can be broken up like this

12 first half

23 second half

He only threw 2 in the first Q last season but had 10 in the 2nd Q.

only 7 TDs came while behind by more than 2 scores.

4 of his 4th Q TDs were while they were within 7

Who said that? Blake Bortles had already shown everyone five times he was not going to have a "career day" against the Raiders.

A career day for Bortles is to not throw an INT,or fumble the ball during the game and to not waste any timeouts.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:Jags find a way to win this game. The win springboards the Jags and they finish the year 9-7, tie for 1st in the division, but win it due to tiebreaker. Go Jags!
You are dreaming.  Titans are a better team right now, with a running game and a QB who isn't a basket case.  They win tonight, and Bradley is fired after Thanksgiving.

I'm not saying that. I'm saying if a 23 year old QB CAN throw 35 TDs and 4400 yards, he has unquestioned talent. He led the NFL in passes 20 yards plus with 72 over guys like Peyton, Brady, and Drew Brees.......

I mean he's 24 years old. Where are the Jags going to find a better QB than Bortles? They won't; they can't even find a competent head coach in 6 years.

There is no reason to think for one second Blake Bortles is a basket case or Gus Bradley will be fired before January 2.

Also, there is nothing wrong with having good dreams about the Jaguars if you actually like the team.

Well, this isn't exactly a match-up of undefeated or division leading teams, or even teams with winning records is it?

On the other hand, I did learn something about Elo ratings and Harmonic Means and those are just something else the Jags just aren't very good at.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
