Does this franchise care about the fans?

Sad read

Bradley's team came out for its Thursday night game against the division rival Tennessee Titans completely unprepared and uninspired, and as a result of that unpreparedness and lack of inspiration, the Jaguars were blown right off the field by Tennessee. It was flat-out embarrassing.

Quote:In short? No. 14 - 41 with a head coach mounting the worst winning percentage in the modern era of football tells you two things.

1. Either this owner is completely clueless

Or

2. He's all about the money
More like 1. and 2.

I don't think he wants to move the team.

I just don't think he has competent people in place running the football side of the team. And he's too passive to make a move to replace them. He does not know what he is doing.

People keep saying this but it really doesn't make any sense to me. If he wanted to move the team, he doesn't need a losing team to do it. He is a businessman. He just wants to make money and have fun doing it. The Jacksonville fan base is as good as any there is; there is no reason to move the team. Just need to improve the team!

That pretty much sums it up.

"Unprepared and uninspired" is the fault of the coaching staff.

We, the fans, are gonna get the bad rap when people stop going. Everyone is getting hurt in this. It's an abusive relationship that I won't quit.

At this point, I think the media for the most part know that fans here have done a good job of supporting this trainwreck. ProFootballTalk used to be one of those quickest to diss our fanbase. But now they seemingly go out of their way to point out that fan support has been good here and the team has not delivered.

^^ Only positive.  I think all the effort has really cemented the fan base.

Yeah you're right about that. The fan base has been stellar through the storm. I just get nervous about the breaking point and when the fans turn into lemmings and run off the cliff

I think the fans are getting to the detestable loser phase where they still support the team to spite the players.  Pay to Boo phase.  Jacksonville is a different town compared to the other Florida teams.  More of the lunch bucket and die hard types.

I'm in Texas now but miss living there.  My wife is practically begging me to route for the cowboys and in a lot of ways that would bring me full circle back to a team I loved as a teenager during the Tony D and Danny White days.  Honestly though I told her, I can't quit on my team.  I have so many memories and emotions tied into the Jaguars.

***sigh

This..

and no, the team does not about its fans... I'd honestly rather be a browns fan.. somehow they are hanging in a lot of games despite having 1/10th the talent we have... look at the qb's they have had to throw out on the field this year.... yet they are more competitive than us... unreal

I don't see how Khan can't fire Gus today and it not be considered a slap to the fans. The team has flat out quit on Gus. It's one thing if they are actually competitive and losing by one score. You can also have bad games. When players completely quit on a team that is it man. You have to. Players are regressing game by game now. Seeing players play at half speed and show no sense of urgency what so ever is so disheartening. I must admit that that last night I think was the first time ever when I have had an opportunity to watch a Jags game and I turned it off at halftime and went to bed. The players have quit, it isn't anything to watch.

ya, except we aren't 5-2... in fact, we havent been 5-2 or anywhere close to that in a decade... ever since Khan took over, he has improved everything BUT the win/loss record.

The team continues to get worse, and continues to disappoint more and more each year... but don't worry, Khan is making a new practice facility so obviously team is in good hands... oh and he put a pool in, and a big screen at the stadium

KHAN CARES

You know I was thinking about Cleveland earlier and how we can't complain compared to the Browns but then I started thinking. At least the Browns are always trying. They are always looking for answers and even though they don't work the effort is at least there. This team just seems content on hoping everything fixes itself.
