Quote:No. Reason why when Payton was away Car Michael stepped in and the saints played as good if not better for Carr Michael. The season ( 2012 ) Sean Payton was suspended, the Saints went 7-9. The season before with Payton, they went 13-3 and advanced to the 2nd Round of the playoffs. The season after with Payton, the Saints went 11-5 and advanced to the 2nd Round of the playoffs.
Sean Payton is a good choice but why is that even a choice? He wouldn't leave the Saints for the Jaguars. I don't see him getting fired.
Matt Patricia is a guy I want.
I guess Josh McDaniels is a risky (not a good people person apparently) but solid selection too. Coughlin is a name I keep seeing people toss around, which would be intriguing... but I could see the fans get restless quickly if the old man can't turn things around fast. Also Mike Shula was here when Garrard had his best season, iirc. I'd like to see him brought in for an interview. Here's an interesting thought... Bill Cowher seemed so passionate last night. Is this roster tempting enough to lure him out of the comfy spotlights and have him save a franchise? I doubt it... but I look for that rumor to ramp up a bit as well. I rather go with McDaniels. 1) He has experience 2) He has experience working with a QB with bad mechanics 3) Recent articles about him seem to indicate he's learned from his mistakes (including his personality issues during his first stint) Quote:I want Cowher as our coach. What are the chances that happens? Probably no better than 15 %. In listening to Bill Cowher last night, he really seems to enjoy his current job on CBS. I was very surprised how candid Cowher was about Gus Bradley because Cowher himself is a former HC.
I just don't get the love for Sean Payton. The dude has Drew Brees as his QB. I'm sorry but we don't have 1/4th of Drew Brees so how can we know how good of a coach he is?

it doesn't matter who we can go after case khan will never eveeeeeeeer fire his bed buddy gus.
snowwolf titans owner in madden. note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.
I'd like to see Khan find a way to pry Jim Harbaugh out of Michigan and buy out his $9M contract. But that's unlikely.
With that said. If I had to rank my top three. I'd go with the below at the moment. 1. David Shaw - Head Coach - Stanford - He's had experience before in the NFL at a multitude of positions. He worked under Harbaugh and has done a great job keeping Stanford alive. I think he's a good enough coach for the next level. He seems like a student type of each position but will lay into guys if he has to for making a mistake. I think he would find the fastest way to fix our offensive lineman and running game and then work on whoever his quarterback is. 2. Todd Haley - Offensive Coordinator - Pittsburgh - He wasn't all that impressive at Kansas City. But one things for sure. He's not shy about getting onto his players and he's not shy about having a very aerial offense and balanced offense to boot. If it's any coach right now in the NFL that could help fix this offense it would be him. If he can fix the running game he'd probably try to mimic the same offense he's ran in Pittsburgh. They've had a lot of success under his coordination. 3. Mike Smith - Defensive Coordinator - Tampa Bay - Former DC JAX / Former HC ATL - Was Mike Smith a stellar head coach at ATL? Not completely. But was he terrible? No. He had a winning record there. I think he went 66 - 46 there in ATL. He put together a lot of winning seasons and kind of stalled out his final two years there I think mostly due to injuries on the roster. Right now he has the Buccaneers ranked 13th overall on defense. Which isn't bad for someone who sat out two years worth of football until Koetter called him up during the off-season when he was awarded the coaching job. They're giving up a lot of points per game this year but I think most of that, much like the situation here in Jacksonville this season, can be attributed to the sloppy play of their offense putting them in bad spots with costly turnovers, etc. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Quote:Matt Patricia is a guy I want. That's going to happen with any coach...If a new coach doesn't come in and win the first four games in a row this board will go insane...They will be calling every front office personnel idiots and calling for the new coach to be fired already Quote:That's going to happen with any coach...If a new coach doesn't come in and win the first four games in a row this board will go insane...They will be calling every front office personnel idiots and calling for the new coach to be fired already If they look like they have the last 55 games coached by Bradley then yeah you might be right. However with a better coach I don't see that happening. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:This team is so screwed because of coaching that you could fire Gus, let the players coach themselves, and they could still do better. You could fire Gus Bradley and hire Dennis Greene (RIP) and it would be an improvement. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. Quote:nobody saw it coming when they hired Gus either..jus sayin So? You continue with mediocrity because you're afraid the next guy won't work? That is not how things work. Gus has made bad choices as assistants from the beginning and that was a concern/sign of problems from the start. Quote:So? You continue with mediocrity because you're afraid the next guy won't work?I guess you could just fire a coach every year if he doesn't come out 8-0 We show less advertisements to registered users. Historically awful and it absolutely DOES cause problems with player development. Gus should not have coached this team this year. He was given more than enough time. Quote:Yeah because that applies here...I'm not a Gus supporter, I just see where Khan is coming from...NOTHING will change by firing Gus now other than we won't see him anymore...
