You guys should be attacking the O-line 90% and the QB/RBs the other 10% for our offensive struggles. With no blocking and protection, nothing good happens. Players on that line have to step up.

Good QBs have been making up for bad olines since the beginning of time. Unfortunately we don't have a good QB.

Oh come on now, be consistent. If a bad QB is a result of a bad coach then we can blame Driskels first years on Muschump. As soon as he left that scheme and went to LA Tech, his numbers skyrocketed. He had a better lone year at la tech then any of the years Bortles had at UCF.

Driskel at La Tech had 27 TD- 8 INT and 154 rating and 62% completion

Bortles at UCF had 25 TD- 7 INT and 25 TD- 9 INT back to back years and 163 rating and a 67% completion- he also beat TWO top 10 teams in 2013 (Louisville and Baylor).

It is painfully obvious this guy was a friend of Bortles growing up or somehow has a crazy obsession with him.  I want Bortles to work out for the Jags just as much as anyone, but for this guy to go to the lengths he has to prove he's a good qb is asinine.

 

PFT provided the numbers for me today.  His numbers tell the whole story.  We are so bad at the beginning the game moving the ball that teams let up on us and we are finally able to move it on soft zones.  Blake Bortles lifetime stats.

 

I could care less how the defense does, I watched how Blake threw the ball.  When a received is just standing there and you cant hit him in the numbers, there is something wrong.  He either throws it above the guys head, in the dirt, or 2 to 3 yards to the side of the guys.  Allen Robinson couldn't even control himself last night he was so frustrated with it.  Let me guess, you'll somehow blame this on the one pro bowler we have...

 

1st Quarter:  1,598 Yards, 4 touchdowns

2nd Quarter:  2,356 Yards, 15 touchdowns

3rd Quarter:  1,912 Yards, 13 touchdowns

4th Quarter:   3,364 Yards, 36 touchdowns

4) Bortles at age 23 tied Tom Brady for the NFL lead in TDs (35), led NFL with 72 passes over 20 yards, and is on pace for 27 TDs and 4,300 yards this year

We've seen the best of bb5 last year. Now we're seeing his inevitable decline.


Nobody that actually watches blake play all 60 minutes of his games can say he's a franchise qb.


Maybe he'll wind up a back up like his mentor, chad henne.


But I now have serious doubts he can turn it around this late into career. His fundamentals are shot, he can't recognize blitzes, he has no work ethic, and his attitude is like watching a bratty 12 year old girl.


But please tell me how great he is at throwing td's and getting large chunks of yardage when the oopisong defenses have calling it a night.

His INT% rate is 3.1 which is actually up from last year. And his completion percentage is up because of the horrible short passing playcalls which EVEN YOU HAVE CRITICIZED.

He drops his arm like Leftwich. His passes look like punts. Under throws. Over throws. Very little touch.

He has regressed. Simple.

Stats don't mean piss. Give me 20 TDs a year and wins.

The O!ine does suck. That's on Caldwell. The WRs have regressed as well. Dropped passes, poor routes. Was Thomas a Manning product,or is he under utilized?

I have mixed feeling. From sophomore slump to a meathead who will never reach someone like Manning cerebral approach.

I still think Bortles started to look better later game and that first second half socre Titans were definitely in prevent but after that they were blitzing again even Simms mentioned Bortles loosened up and looked better. He had a few throws that just were awful and fell short though.
