My two cents in dealing with similar type of situations with my favorite team is everyone who is a Jaguars fan should do what's best in your particular circumstance.   People are different from one another.  IMO,  it won't make you less of a fan of the Jaguars if you don't watch all or part of games when you have the opportunity to do so.  

 

Having said all of this,  I take the approach that FBT does.  Regardless of record.  incompetence of organization,  or the caliber of play,  I'm doing everything possible to watch every moment of the games.    That doesn't lessen the pain.   But I'm the type of person who needs to know what's going on and want to enjoy whatever good moments occur in games.

I've been a fan of this team since before it existed. I'll watch every game no matter how ugly things might get. That's what fans do. I'm as frustrated as anyone with this team. Doesn't mean I'm going to abandon my loyalties. Sorry.

Tried to blame last year on the defense....

I haven't supported everything he's done, but feel free to interpret it that way if it makes you feel like you've landed a gotcha.


Last year the defense was the issue. The offense was light years ahead of where it is right now. Much like this year, the offense couldn't get off the field on third downs, allowing teams to extend drives no matter what the down and distance was. That continues. The problem is exacerbated by the offense struggling this year.
