True - but I'm trying to be a bit more specific here concerning the firing of the OC and it's ramifications  - while also noting that a vast majority of the board has expressed similar sentiments about the O-Line and QB.

Agree. I attribute most of the Offensive woes directly to BB5 and O-line play, Olson wasn't helping straying so far from what worked last year as far as play calling. I do not believe any coach will make much difference. the O-line must win man on man battles and BB5 must play at least back to last years level. Which wasn't really all that high.

Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.

Interesting to read what other NFL Execs say about the Jags.  Basically they said the Jags sound as if they are great organization that has won SuperBowls and Khan doesn't want to hear any bad news about his players or coaches.  Maybe that's why he's reluctant to fire either Gus or Dave as that would be admitting HE is the one that made the mistake hiring them in the first place and wasting 4 years and hundreds of millions of dollars and numerous draft picks on players that aren't cutting it. 

 

Oh well, firing Olson can't really do any harm, as things can't possibly get any worse.  We've reached rock bottom, things can only get better.  At some point, we've got to hire a competent GM/HC combo and draft a decent QB.

I think the Jags need someone to say "we're crap, but we can be much, much better". Which is why I'm not entirely against a return of Coughlin in some role in the coaching staff. Coughlin once said that the 2002 roster was the worst he ever coached, worse even than the 1995 roster. He said that during training camp of 2002, it feels like realism like that is missing from the organization.
