Keep an eye on Coughlin?

Quote:Would've been funnier/made more sense if you used a picture of Coughlin in Jags gear. But hey, you tried. You care way too much about the Coughlin nonsense. It's a flat out joke.

Tom is old, but he has a good eye for COACHING talent, as well as players. While he may not be directly involved in developing scheme, he would surround himself with the right coaches who can, add much-needed discipline, right us a positive direction, and most importantly, give us hope.

Tweet from Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) - The word on Tom Coughlin: Hasn't ruled out anything, but would take a special opportunity to return to coaching. Enjoying his role with NFL.

They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
The more I think about this, the more I think it's going to happen.
I don't believe Khan wants to part with Caldwell because I think he believes in the roster he's assembled, but the clock is ticking as Dave will be going into his fifth season here. He'll have to start winning with this roster soon and I think Khan will end up tying him to a proven head coach who isn't considered a long term solution. Plus wherever he goes, Tom isn't going to sign on to a rebuilding project. Go for it and try to win in the 3-5 years that Coughlin is here and if we do, Caldwell will get to hand pick another head coach after Tom retires. If it doesn't, then we going to be starting from scratch anyways. It wouldn't necessarily be my first choice, but it makes a ton of sense for both sides. |
